Charlize Theron Calls for More Films Like 'Wonder Woman'
Oscar-winner Charlize Theron made a plea for more female directors and larger salaries for actresses during Comic-Con's annual Women Who Kick Ass interview. The Atomic Blonde star said: "In my industry there are those who don’t have the luxury of putting their foot down, that they’re not going to come in for a job because they have families to support. The producers will then move on to the next girl, and that’s where we need to stop that."
She added: "A film like Wonder Woman awoke studios to understand that these budgets should be handed over to a woman; they can do the job if not better.”
