King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Charlie Hunnam is having himself quite the year. Fresh off The Lost City of Z, where he portrays real-life British explorer Col. Percy Fawcett, he now tackles one of western culture's most enduring and fascinating legendary characters. It's no small order to play a personage that's been revisited numerous times on the big and smalls screens. But Hunnam looks up to the challenge. Thankfully, he has director Guy Ritchie helping to set the paces and an able supporting cast that includes such formidable talents as Annabelle Wallis, Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, and Jude Law (who, it should be said, is having a pretty good year for himself, too). And if those names don't grab you, there's a notable cameo from another legend -- of the sporting kind: soccer star David Beckham. — Bret
