Intriguing New Film Project of the Week
Nicole Kidman pledged she would work with a female director at least every 18 months, and she is living up to her promise. Kidman will star as an undercover detective in Destroyer, directed by Karyn Kusama. If you're not familiar with the name, Kusama broke into the film scene with Girlfight, which won both the Directing Award and Grand Jury Prize at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. Since then she's directed such films as The Invitation and Æon Flux, as well as a ton of TV. We're excited to see this actor-director pairing for a gritty crime thriller that has been compared to "True Detective."
