Then Renny double crosses Bill and drives the car himself since Bill has tuned it so well.

By impersonating an officer of the law and dodging his enemies successfully, he aids the police in catching the real criminal and, after making his identity known, escapes the net thrown out for him.

But after this, Raskolnikow finds out that Sonja was a very close friend of his second victim.

"Bully" Rawden, the island trader opposes the building of a mission, but Tod whips him in a fight, and holds services that night. Marietta, Rawden's daughter, falls in love with him, but Tod, unable to reveals his true identity, has to conceal his feelings for her.

Maddened he rushes to the room and batters down the door. He confronts Turner and shoots him. At the trial Ramsey will go free if his wife confesses she was in the room She does and he is acquitted. Mary's companion, Tony, is pulled into a secret passage; Van Horne's body disappears; Remus, the colored servant, sees a black-hooded figure; the lights go off and on; and a detective is the object of many hoaxes perpetrated by the mysterious figure. When the figure (played alternately by Tony and Dr. Naylor) discloses the features of Van Horne, he frightens a confession from Stewart, then discloses himself as Peter's "chauffeur." Peter discovers that Mary deserves a part of the fortune and convinces her of his love.
