Producer Matthew Grimaldi was born in Smithtown, New York, and has produced feature films (Who is Cletis Tout? - Tim Allen, Christian Slater, Richard Dreyfus) ( and most recently, Finding Steve McQueen, 2019, Forrest Whitaker), with others in development. His commercial campaigns began when he founded The Filmmakers Resource during the 90's Independent Film years, where he made over 2000 commercials and music videos, and acted as consultant on countless indie features. He also developed some feature films and screenplays, such as Miramax's The Curve, and served as the Production company for gems like Swingers.
Matt also founded The Guerilla Film Institute, and adjuncted at AFI, UCLA and did weekend production workshops at The New York Film Academy.
Matt was a founding Board member of Filmanthropic, and remains engaged in film related charity as a board member for The Reel Film Foundation, volunteer producing their annual 3-day film festival, which funds outreach mentoring and scholarships for at risk youth interested in filmmaking. In his free time he enjoys life on the coast with his wife and two children.
