The episode of The Black Sheep covering The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning was Written and Narrated by Andrew Hatfield, Edited by Brandon Nally, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
I’ve been on a bit of a TV kick lately. You’ll see it coming up in one of the adaptation videos but also in what I’ve been watching. The 2023 season of Creepshow has been a lot of fun and Mike Flanagan’s “Succession mixed with a Giallo” in Fall of the House of Usher has been one of my favorite pieces of media this year. It reminded me a lot of growing up watching the second coming of TV horror movies in the 90s. I hesitate to call it the golden age because I think the 70s still holds that title but the 90s had all manner from Stephen King adaptations,...

If you are a fan of supernatural horror films, you have probably seen at least one of the “Candyman” movies.
The Candyman is an American horror-slasher film series based on an urban legend called “Candyman,” a ghost who was murdered in the late 19th century.
The series began with the 1985 short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker and has since been adapted into several films.
The 1992 film adaptation of Candyman, directed by Bernard Rose and starring Tony Todd as the title character, was initially a box office bomb. However, it has since become a cult classic.
Four films in the Candyman series are sure to send chills down your spine; the series spanned from the first film in 1992 to the latest release in 2021. For starters, the “Candyman” movies are horror packed with great suspense, twists, and turns.
Secondly, the “Candyman” movies have an exciting storyline that will keep you entertained throughout the series.

Walter Mirisch earned his Oscar for this Sidney Poitier hit directed by Norman Jewison. The tense mystery thriller was also a significant cultural step for Civil Rights, Hollywood-style: Poitier’s Virgil Tibbs claims the right to not turn the other cheek. Stars Rod Steiger, Lee Grant, Warren Oates and Larry Gates are in top form. Kino’s new 4K release maximizes the impact of Haskell Wexler’s steamy cinematography and Quincy Jones’ rich music, and includes bonus Blu-ray encodings of the two sequels made a few years later.

Chicago – Ethereal Canadian writer/director Jude Klassen is back with her second film – after “Love in the Sixth” – a combination of relationship angst and music passion, “Stupid For You.” The film has been launched into the fest circuit, and premiered at Montreal’s Image+ Nation Film Festival in November 2021.
“Stupid for You” is a musical with a deeply layered emotional resonance. Mikhael Klassen-Kay is Kat, who makes music with their best friend Stevie (Mia Rodne). When Kat’s greatest crush Eden (Caylin Turner) has a desire for a 1990s punk rock band, Polyamorous Diatribe, to re-form and play at a big high school dance, Kat has an advantage because their mother Dani was the lead singer. As Kat negotiates their first gay/fluid love relationship, Dani is also putting her toe into the romantic waters again with a man named Magnus (Matt Clark).

Clint Eastwood is We Are Movie Geeks favorite stars and directors. After last year’s superb Richard Jewell, it’s clear the 89-year old actor and two-time Oscar winning director hasn’t let his age slow him down a bit.
Clint Eastwood has appeared in 68 films in his six (!) decades as an actor, and here, according to We Are Movie Geeks, are his ten best:
Check back here at Wamg soon for a list of Clint’s ten best films as a director.
Honorable Mention: Honkytonk Man
By the 1980s, Clint Eastwood was one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars. With his own production company, directorial skills, and economic clout, Eastwood was able to make smaller, more personal films. A perfect example is the underrated Honkytonk Man, which also happens to be one of Eastwood’s finest performances.

Need a laugh? Paul Newman shoots people, hangs others and runs a judiciary speed trap for unwary outlaw vagrants. John Huston’s picture is a slack, passably amusing interpretation of writer John Milius’s career- boosting screenplay. A slow-going exercise in ‘printing the legend, only funnier,’ it’s recommended just to take in Stacy Keach’s memorable albino menace, ‘Bad Bob.’

What’s the best true-story WW2 combat film for pure-grit, no-nonsense tanks ‘n’ bombs ‘n’ crazy mayhem action on a giant scale? This non-stop battle epic gets my vote. George Segal and Ben Gazzara’s infantry dogs are suitably tough, cynical and desperate, especially when they’re repeatedly sent into danger. The history is fairly accurate — there was indeed a race to seize the last bridge across the River Rhine.

Earlier in 2016, Matt Clarke and David Milchard -- the creators and stars of Convos With My 2 Year Old -- announced their plan to venture beyond the web series that made them Internet famous by releasing additional shows on a new channel, CocoMilkTV.
Now, Clarke and Milchard have shared two new shows, and other of them comes with plenty of holiday spirit. It’s called Santa & Jesus Roommates, and as its title implies, it imagines what would happen if two of Christianity’s most important figures co-habitated with one another.
In the first episode of Santa & Jesus, Santa (Michael P. Northey) gets grossed after Jesus (Clarke) brings home a leper and treats him on the couch. Jesus uses that criticism as an opportunity to reprimand his roommate regarding his personal cleanliness (or lack thereof).

In 2013, Matt Clarke and David Milchard scored a hit with Convos With My 2 Year Old, in which Milchard combined the adorable sayings of Clarke’s two-year-old daughter with his own adult body and mannerisms. Almost immediately, Clarke and Milchard vaulted to YouTube stardom, and they now have nearly 800,000 subscribers.
Three years later, Clarke and Milchard are still cranking out new Convos (they’re on season six now), but at the same time, they are branching out. They have launched a new channel called Cocomilk TV, on which they are working with various producers to explore new projects. Specifically, a press release describes Cocomilk as “a platform that will specialize in formats and be a venue for audiences who are looking for unique, irreverent and good-ole- silly-fun- time content.”
The first show to arrive on Cocomilk is Paranormal Solutions, which premiered in April. It is a comedy about occult investigators, a la Deadbeat or Ghost Ghirls,...

What would seem the perfect project for tough-guy director Robert Aldrich still commands a high reputation with some. Ambitious top-dog hobo Lee Marvin squares off against Ernest Borgnine's nearly demonic railroad conductor who routinely murders bums that dare to hitch a ride. Post-production tampering mitigates against this Western by Sam Peckinpah finding its deserved reception from better-class audiences. Arrow Video know their cult movies, you just have to look at the ones they’ve released to see that. If you were to ask the question, how crazy can a cult movie be? I think you just have to look at their latest release for that. The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension is probably one of the strangest (yet still good) Eighties movies you’ll ever see.

Robert Redford movies: TCM shows 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' 'The Sting' They don't make movie stars like they used to, back in the days of Louis B. Mayer, Jack Warner, and Harry Cohn. That's what nostalgists have been bitching about for the last four or five decades; never mind the fact that movie stars have remained as big as ever despite the demise of the old studio system and the spectacular rise of television more than sixty years ago. This month of January 2015, Turner Classic Movies will be honoring one such post-studio era superstar: Robert Redford. Beginning this Monday evening, January 6, TCM will be presenting 15 Robert Redford movies. Tonight's entries include Redford's two biggest blockbusters, both directed by George Roy Hill and co-starring Paul Newman: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which turned Redford, already in his early 30s, into a major film star to rival Rudolph Valentino,...

The Horror Show (1989)
Written by: Alan Smithee, Allyn Warner, Leslie Bohem
Directed by: James Isaac, David Blyth
Cast: Lance Henriksen (Detective Lucas McCarthy), Brion James (Max Jenke), Rita Taggart (Donna McCarthy), Dedee Pfeiffer (Bonnie McCarthy), Aron Eisenberg (Scott McCarthy), Thom Bray (Peter Campbell), Matt Clark (Dr. Tower), Terry Alexander (Casey)
Some films aren’t served very well by their titles. A name is just a name, but then again, first impressions can seal the deal. I didn’t see The Horror Show until about a week ago. My cursor has been looming over it in my Netfix queue for quite some time. The title is so ambiguous, that it could be anything. The key word is anything, and I will see anything with Lance Henriksen in it. He’s become the stuff of legends. He’s one of the few character actors that have...

YouTube has no shortage of grown men acting like children, but a new web series has introduced one of the most popular manchildren we've ever seen on the site. Creator and father Matt Clarke has launched Convos With My 2 Year Old, which twists his interactions with his young daughter by running them through the mouth of a fully grown man. Convos With My 2 Year Old runs on the conceit that kids say the darndest things, which has always been a great way to get views on YouTube. The show gets that much funnier when you throw in the deadpan delivery of actor David Milchard, who plays Clarke's child. I thought Milchard's pink hair clip was a nice little touch. In less than a week, Convos With My 2 Year Old has scored more than 3.6 million views, with the series' channel bringing in more than 62,000 subscribers. Commenters on the debut episode are clamoring for more content,...

The Western, at its creative and commercial peak – the late 1960s-early 1970s – proved itself an astoundingly pliable genre. It could be molded to deal with topical subject matter like racism (Skin Game, 1971), feminism (The Ballad of Josie, 1967), the excesses of capitalism (Oklahoma Crude, 1973). It could be bent into religious allegories (High Plains Drifter, 1973), or an equally allegorical address of the country’s most controversial war (Ulzana’s Raid, 1972). Westerns could be used to deconstruct America’s most self-congratulatory myths (Doc, 1971), and address historical slights and omissions (Little Big Man, 1970). They could provide heady social commentary (Hombre, 1967), or simple adventure and excitement (The Professionals, 1966). They could be funny (The Hallelujah Trail, 1965), unremittingly grim (Hour of the Gun, 1967), surreal (Greaser’s Palace, 1972), even be stretched into the shape of rock musical (Zachariah, 1971) or monster movie (Valley of Gwangi, 1969).

Even though we're still well over a month away from "Walking Dead" returning to AMC, there are still numerous avenues from which to get your zombie fix, including Telltale Games' phenomenal video game based on the Robert Kirkman comic book series.
In fact, the third episode of "Walking Dead" — titled "Long Road Ahead" — is hitting PlayStation Network today (August 28) and Xbox Live Arcade, PC and Mac on Wednesday (August 29), according to the team at IGN. The grim journey of Lee Everett and (hopefully) his young companion Clementine will last for at least five episodes, with this week's third installment marking the midway point.
If you're a "Dead" fan and a gamer, Telltale's multi-part adaptation is a must-play. In his review of the second episode, "Starved for Help," our Panels & Pixels columnist Matt Clark struggled to find a single fault in the game.

The Back Issue Bin is, err, back! We'll be here every Friday running down the ten greatest bits of comic book movie and television news to hit the space over the past week.
This week was a Marvel-heavy affair, with "Avengers" and "Spider-Man" scoring the big wins. People are psyched about the announcement of a "Captain America" sequel as well, now set in the modern day. In DC Comics news, rumors abound about new "Arkham City" Dlc content. And in flesh-eating territory, there's a new "Walking Dead" petition worth sinking your teeth into.
Get all that and more as we count down the top ten stories on Splash Page this week.
10. We launched a new column, No Capes Allowed, about non-superhero comics that deserve the big (or small) screen treatment. Kicking off is this piece on Brian K. Vaughan's "Saga," which Kevin P. Sullivan argues should be on TV producers' radar.

Zen Studios knows how to make a pinball videogame. It's no easy task – creating digital games that somehow maintain the feel of analog tables, but Zen has proven more than capable over the past few years with a stable of enjoyable games. Personally, Xbox Live game "Pinball FX 2" has eaten away hours of my life, thanks in no small part to the incredibly satisfying leaderboard system and the inclusion of some amazingly executed Marvel-themed tables.
Now, a selection of those Marvel tables are coming to iOS and Android devices via downloadable content.
If you're a Marvel fan, and in any way enjoy the catharsis of rolling that little steel ball around a playfield, there's a good chance you'll find something to like in these new Marvel tables. Android (Tegra-powered) devices and iOS users can both check out the tables right now through previously released games "Zen Pinball Thd" and "Zen Pinball,...

Monolith Productions is probably best known for its "F.E.A.R." and "Condemned" games, but the studio is taking a crack at a comic-inspired title with the upcoming "Gotham City Impostors." I had a chance to play an early build at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this summer, and the game's weird mix of first-person shooter and everyday-joe-turned-superhero felt great. Today, Warner Bros. released a new video of "Impostors," and while it doesn't show off any new gameplay footage, a cool animated short is always welcomed.
The idea behind "Impostors" is that average jerks decide to take to the streets in support of their favorite hero, Batman. Dressed in outfits that resemble some drunken, Halloween version of the Dark Knight, they arm themselves with guns (a direct violation of Bats' modus operandi, of course) to take on the Joker and his minions.

Seems that after two and a half years, my time as the editor of MTV Multiplayer has come to a close. It has been a privilege to attempt to give you some insight into the world of video games and technology. Whether you came to the blog every day, every week, or just whenever it popped up on Twitter, I hope you enjoyed your time here. I certainly have.
There have been several regular contributors throughout my time here at Multiplayer, and they have my utmost admiration. These are gentleman who deserve considerably more than a mention in a farewell blog post but, for now, this will have to do: Jason Cipriano, Matt Clark, Brian Warmoth, Brad Nicholson, Nick Akerman, and Adam Rosenberg.
I'd also like to thank Stephen Totilo, Tracey John and Patrick Klepek for building such an incredible audience. It was a true honor and a monumental task to fill those shoes.

Today is the day. "Call of Duty Xp" is about to open to the public, and what fan convention is complete without a keynote to open the festivities? Around 11a.m. Pst, you can watch the "Xp" opening shenanigans right here on the streaming feed above.
It's kind of unclear at this point what the opening will actually entail, but I'm expecting some "Modern Warfare 3" news mixed with talk about how insane "Xp" is. Honestly, I walked through the place last night, and it's kind of incredible.
Activision has also promised to stream lots of coverage of the Los Angeles event through the same feed, so be sure to check back often. Maybe you'll see Matt Clark getting shot in the jeans with paintballs. It's totally possible!

Chicago – Martin Sheen’s sons certainly command the spotlight, whether it was Charlie’s adventures of this year, or the emerging auteur talent of Emilio Estevez. Estevez wrote and directed the upcoming film “The Way,” which stars his father.
The elder Sheen and Estevez have been on a nationwide tour, promoting and opening the personal film along the journey. They were in Chicago on the weekend of August 19th, as part of the Chicago International Film Festival Summer Gala. Martin Sheen was honored by the festival for his career work, receiving the Silver Hugo Award from the Founder and Artistic Director, Michael Kutza.

From MTV Multiplayer: We already know that Catwoman is a playable character in "Batman: Arkham City." Now, it looks like The Boy Wonder himself is set to make an appearance in Rocksteady's follow-up to their fantastic 2009 game, "Batman: Arkham Asylum." While Catwoman is built right into the game, there's a bit of a catch if you want to play as Robin right away: you're going to have to pre-order the game from Best Buy. Holy retailer incentives, Batman.
Retailer incentives – store-exclusive game features and characters – have become a bit of the norm these days. Of course, a lot of those exclusives are eventually put up for sale on your digital marketplace of choice, and Shack News has confirmed through Warner Bros. that Robin will eventually be available to everyone.

From MTV Multiplayer: Earlier this month, the internet went all aflutter that Ubisoft was entering the film business with the founding of Ubisoft Motion Pictures. This was at least partially true, as the French company was in fact looking to secure deals with American studios to produce movies based on their gaming franchises. That said, the company had no plans to actually start producing motion pictures on their own. Now, it looks like the company may already be in discussions to release 3D versions of "Assassin's Creed," "Splinter Cell," and "Ghost Recon."
Speaking to Variety, Ubisoft Motion Pictures' division head, Jean-Julien Baronnet, and vice-president of distribution, Jean de Rivieres, claim that the projects have drawn great interest from American screenwriters and studios. The pair are apparently flying out to Los Angeles in June – which conveniently coincides with E3 – to meet with "studios and agents." Who these U.

Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy Blu-ray will be released on October 26. The Hollywood Reporter has our first look at one of the special features included on this release, which offers, for the first time ever, footage of Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. Eric Stoltz was originally cast as the lead in Robert Zemeckis' classic time travel adventure-comedy, and he embodied the now-classic role of Marty McFly for five weeks before being replaced by Michael J. Fox. Both producer Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis made this drastic and unheard of decision because they felt the actor had a different comedic approach to the material that was written, and that he didn't have the right comedic timing for this particular character.

From the Academy Award-winning filmmakers Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis comes Back to The Future the original, groundbreaking adventure that sparked one of the most successful trilogies in Hollywood history. When teenager Marty McFly (Michael J.
