It lasts roughly a minute and consists of only a handful of shots (and none of Edgar Wright’s trademark visual wizardry), yet the moment in Shaun Of The Dead when Simon Pegg’s hapless hero and his group of survivors round the corner and bump into another group is possibly the film’s most ambitious gag. Mainly because the other gang is played by a who’s who (then and now) of British comedy: Martin Freeman, Reece Shearsmith, Tamsin Greig, Spaced mainstay Julia Deakin, Matt Lucas and, at the vanguard, Pegg’s Spaced co-creator, Jessica Hynes. A finer cavalcade of cameos, you’ll never see.

‘Fantastic Four’ is set to be the next big movie in the MCU. Just a few days ago, the release date and cast were announced. Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby will be Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will portray The Thing, and Joseph Quinn will take on the role of the Human Torch. Filming is scheduled to start this summer. Due to a change in the release date, ‘Thunderbolts’ will now come out earlier than expected, on May 2, 2025. Despite the main cast being confirmed, there’s still no news about who the villain might be. While most of the main roles are filled, there are still smaller parts to cast. Rumors suggest that Marvel Studios is looking for a comedian to play the role of H.E.R.B.I.E.

‘Fantastic Four’ is currently the hottest upcoming MCU movie only a few days ago release date and cast were announced, confirming what we’ve known for quite a while. Pedro Pascal will be MCU’s new Reed Richards, with Vanessa Kirby taking on the role of Sue Storm. The Thing and the Human Torch will be played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn respectively.
Filming is expected to begin this summer, and due to the release date being switched, ‘Thunderbolts’ lost its July 2025 spot being moved to release earlier than expected on May 2, 2025. Despite the main cast being confirmed, there was not a speck of news regarding the movie’s possible villain.
And while most of the main cast has been revealed there are plenty of smaller roles that are yet to be filled and recently according to rumors Marvel Studios expressed the desire for a comedia to play a role of H.

Nothing gold can stay, and to make room for everything new at Hulu in November, we have to say goodbye to dozens of the series and movies on the platform. The streamer will make room for its upcoming Christmas library by losing some of its horror-themed titles throughout the month, including “Stephen King's It,” most of its “Saw” franchise, and “Shaun Of The Dead.” Other major titles leaving the platform include Emma Stone’s breakthrough comedy “Easy A,” the Nora Ephron classic “Sleeping in Seattle,” and more.

VFX artists analyze a Shaun of the Dead scene where zombie Mary attacks Shaun, praising the practical effects used to create the gruesome wound. The scene combines genres by blending humor with horror, and the ability to see straight through the wound adds to its gory impact. The use of traditional, practical compositing techniques was effective and had more impact than a more complicated approach would have.
VFX artists detail the surprising practical effects used to create one of Shaun of the Dead's first zombie appearances. Directed by Edgar Wright, the horror comedy follows Shaun (Simon Pegg), an electronics sales advisor who, along with family and friends, attempts to outlast a zombie apocalypse in London. The film has been praised for its humor, and built a strong fanbase over the years, along with other Wright/Pegg collaborations. Released in 2004, the zombie comedy film Shaun of the Dead has maintained a cult following ever since, and some fans are still rooting for the film to get a sequel. The idea of a popular zom-com getting a sequel many years later is not unheard of, as we saw it 2009's Zombieland and its 2019 follow-up Zombieland: Double Tap. However, with Shaun of the Dead, perhaps it's finally time to accept the film as a standalone story, as that's the suggestion from star Simon Pegg.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Pegg mentioned the fan demands for Shaun of the Dead 2. He says that it's something that inevitably comes up anytime he's fielding questions from fans. In response, Pegg wants to remind fans that they don't need a Shaun of the Dead sequel, no matter how much they might think they do. In fact, Pegg says that the movie would...

This post contains spoilers for the "Ted Lasso" season 3 finale.
Seemingly knowing its place alongside some of the most popular comedy shows the zeitgeist has ever seen, the "Ted Lasso" season finale made sure to reference another one. If you're a fan of "The Office" — the original or the American remake — you probably spotted some of these connections.
Let's start with the final nod to both a classic rom-com trope and to another great sitcom finale: Ted and Rebecca's goodbye at the airport. It's similar to the one Jenna Fischer's Pam has with Steve Carrell's Michael Scott in the series finale of the U.S. version of "The Office." Rebecca surprises Ted there much like Pam does to Michael, but this time the audience is privy to their conversation in a way they were not with Pam and Michael. Just before seeing Pam, Michael took his microphone off for the last time.

[This story contains spoilers for “Signs,” the fifth episode of Ted Lasso’s third season.]
During a press day for Ted Lasso’s third season, The Hollywood Reporter asked co-creator, executive producer and actor Brendan Hunt about whether Richmond’s honeymoon period with superstar Zava (Maximilian Osinski) would wear off.
Hunt’s answer: “I mean, you’ve seen the show before. You know how it goes.”
In “Signs,” the show’s fifth episode of season three, it went. The original UK version of The Office was focused on the running of a fictional paper company called Wernam Hogg, with subplots including the one following Tim and Dawn's relationship. The mockumentary series was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, with the former taking the lead role of David Brent. With an intense need to seek approval from others, David proved to be a frustrating boss who lost sight of his job role by constantly wanting to impress his colleagues. Tim and Dawn had a more grounded outlook, representing how the audience saw the reality of David's daily antics, at the same time allowing viewers to see their connection.
The Office UK remains one of Ricky Gervais's best shows, acknowledged with a Golden Globe Award in 2014. Part of its high standard was due to the relatable subjects that were woven into the plot by its creators. Tim and Dawn...

Sabrina Spellman is headed to Riverdale.
After years of teases from the creative forces behind the franchise, we have confirmation that Kiernan Shipka will be suiting back up as the character on Riverdale Season 6.
Riverdale writer Evan Kyle first broke the news during a Q&a on The Dipp after Wednesday's season finale, but showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa confirmed the development to EW.
"We've been talking about having Sabrina visit Riverdale since season 1, so it's thrilling that this is finally happening, as part of our 'Rivervale' special event," Aguirre-Sacasa said to the outlet.
"It's also perfect that she shows up to help Cheryl Blossom during her hour of greatest need. Everyone on set lost their minds — I think fans will, too. It's really fun and special."
The character will stop by on Riverdale Season 6 Episode 4, which is called "The Witching Hour(s)" according to the outlet.

Netflix has apologized following backlash at a tweet shared by Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's official Twitter account.
The tweet – which has since been deleted – included behind-the-scenes images of the Sabrina cast covered in fake blood.
The caption on the post read: "Sunday bloody Sunday."
Bloody Sunday refers to the Bogside Massacre of 1972, in which 14 people were shot and killed by British soldiers during a protest in Derry, Northern Ireland.
Followers quickly hit out at the Twitter account because of the way the post was worded, prompting Netflix to swiftly delete the offending post.
“I think at least someone behind this account should perhaps look at the replies and maybe Google ‘Bloody Sunday’,” another added.
“Please take a minute to read your caption, then put it into google. Then apologise to your Irish fans and anyone who was affected by the atrocities,” wrote another user in the comments section.

The official Twitter page for Netflix’s supernatural teen drama Chilling Adventures of Sabrina came under fire this past weekend after posting what many judged to be a wholly insensitive tweet. On Sunday, January 10th, the Caos social media account shared a batch of behind-the-scenes pics of the show’s stars – namely, Kiernan Shipka (Sabrina Spellman), Jaz Sinclair (Roz Walker), Gavin Leatherwood (Nick Scratch), Miranda Otto (Zelda) and Lucy Davis (Hilda) – splattered with fake blood. The caption read: “Sunday bloody Sunday.”
That might seem innocent at first glance, but the tweet soon incurred backlash from users who felt the pun was in poor taste. You see, it was likely referencing classic U2 song “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” which was written about the atrocious Bloody Sunday massacre that took place in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1972, at the height of the civil unrest in the country during that period. Wonder Woman 1984 may have brought back Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, but other than that, the sequel has a completely different supporting cast behind Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince when compared to 2017’s Wonder Woman. One star of the origins movie did appear, though, in a brief semi-cameo that’s easily missed. Of course, we’re talking about Lucy Davis, who played Etta Candy in WW.
Davis can be glimpsed in WW84 early on in the film when we see into Diana’s apartment and the camera focuses on a collection of photos that briefly tell us what the Amazonian has been getting up to for the past 70 years. It’s clear that she kept in contact with her old WWI allies over the decades, including Davis’ Etta, as one picture shows Diana posing alongside an elderly Etta, with the pair appearing to have arrived in the US for the...

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the final season of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” through Episode 7.)
Netflix’s horror-drama “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” gave a big shoutout to ABC’s ’90s sitcom “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” in its recently launched final season with the cameos for Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick. Or, as fans of the Melissa Joan Hart-led comedy remember them, Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda.
The “Sabrina”-“Sabrina” crossover event comes in the Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa-created series’ penultimate episode, when Sabrina Morningstar (played by Kiernan Shipka) enters the “Other Cosmos” in hopes of saving Sabrina Spellman (also Shipka) and the rest of her loved ones from the Eldritch Terrors. It’s here, in this alternate reality, she finds herself the star of a long-running TV series, with her aunties played by Broderick and Rhea, and her *real* Aunt Zelda and Hilda are their understudies.

This Chilling Adventures of Sabrina review contains no spoilers, except for some information that was presented in the series’ trailers. It is based on all eight episodes of season 4 that were made available to critics.
“Once more into the fray, right guys?”
Let’s just bottom line things right up front here: This is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s strongest — and most entertaining — season. So naturally (in what is rapidly becoming the streaming giant’s signature move) Netflix canceled the series just as it reached its creative peak. The eight episodes of this fourth and final chapter of the Archie Comics-inspired series have it making bold character choices and plot developments that are genuinely surprising.
Indeed, there is a finality to these new installments that make one question how soon into the production process the show’s creative team was informed of its cancellation.. Whomever knew what and when...

While Wonder Woman subtly inserted a reference to Bruce Wayne, Wonder Woman 1984 is in no way connected to the Dceu despite getting multiple chances to insert an Easter Egg or two. While it forgoes that option, it certainly sneaks in plenty of references to the first film. Well, sure, Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is the bigger attraction as he returns from the dead to aid Diana in saving the world from Maxwell Lord's insane plans, but there is another character from 2017's Wonder Woman who briefly appears in the story in a blink-and-miss moment.
(The following article contains major spoilers from Wonder Woman 1984. Stop reading in case you haven't watched the film yet)
To summarize, Wonder Woman saw the Amazonian princess Diana Prince leaving the hidden island of Themyscira to stop Ares from instigating a world-wide war to destroy mankind. On the way, she received great help from the pilot and Allied spy,...

Things are getting a little wild in the fourth installment of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Things are always wild on that show of course, but this time, Sabrina is giving us a little crossover with the original Sabrina—you know, the one that starred Melissa Joan Hart and wasn't utterly terrifying. In a new clip from part four, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) discovers that her aunts are looking a little different all of a sudden because they're being played by Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick, who played Sabrina's aunts on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Usually, they're played by Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto. Not only that, but Sabrina appears to be starring in a sitcom, directed...

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is going out with a bang, and that includes the crossover fans have been longing for! On Dec. 11, Netflix released a clip from the upcoming final installment that sees Beth Broderick and Caroline Rhea reprise their iconic roles as Aunt Zelda and Aunt Hilda from the '90s classic sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch - but with a twist! In the short video, Sabrina is understandably surprised by her aunties "new" look and slowly realizes that while some things may look oddly familiar, something is amiss.
We don't know what's going down in Greendale, or where our beloved versions of Aunt Zelda and Aunt Hilda are, by Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis, respectively, but we're excited to find out! Part four of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina follows the arrival of the Eldritch Terrors as they descend upon Greendale. Sabrina and her pack of misfit witches, warlocks,...
