Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which once again this week features a whopping Nine matches – where’s the swift and fun five-match card gone?! Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: Ar Fox def. Nick Comoroto
My Thoughts: Good god, this was an unexpectedly great match! I honestly didn’t think we’d see a match this good from Nick Comoroto. Ever. Kudos to Ar Fox for getting such a good performance from Comoroto, making both of them look fantastic come the match’s conclusion.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Skye Blue def. Queen Aminata
My Thoughts: And you can repeat everything I said about the Fox/Comoroto match for this match too. Queen Aminata has always stood out from the enhancement talent Aew bring in to face their performers and here she got a great match out of Skye Blue, easily one of her best matches in the company so far.

Groucho Marx in 'Duck Soup.' Groucho Marx movies: 'Duck Soup,' 'The Story of Mankind' and romancing Margaret Dumont on TCM Grouch Marx, the bespectacled, (painted) mustached, cigar-chomping Marx brother, is Turner Classic Movies' “Summer Under the Stars” star today, Aug. 14, '15. Marx Brothers fans will be delighted, as TCM is presenting no less than 11 of their comedies, in addition to a brotherly reunion in the 1957 all-star fantasy The Story of Mankind. Non-Marx Brothers fans should be delighted as well – as long as they're fans of Kay Francis, Thelma Todd, Ann Miller, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Allan Jones, affectionate, long-tongued giraffes, and/or that great, scene-stealing dowager, Margaret Dumont. Right now, TCM is showing Robert Florey and Joseph Santley's The Cocoanuts (1929), an early talkie notable as the first movie featuring the four Marx Brothers – Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo. Based on their hit Broadway...

Don’t Blink (2014)

Directed by: Travis Oates
Cast: Mena Suvari (Tracy), Brian Austin Green (Jack), Zack Ward (Alex), Joanne Kelley (Claire), Robert Picardo (Man in Black), Fionna Gubelmann (Ella), David de Lautour (Noah), Leif Gantvoort (Sam), Emilie O’Hara (Amelia)
After all of the horror that I’ve taken in all these years, I don’t think that I could even begin to feel peaceful at a secluded cabin with a bunch of friends in tow. The adage “safety in numbers” seems to never, ever apply with recreational cohabitation in the wilderness. I’m not sure why, but it just happens to be a well documented fact in horror cinema. Slasher or supernatural, something that starts with an “s” is just going make methodical work of disposing of everyone. The previously mentioned cabin set up just happens to be the...

The question of what will happen to "The Closer" has officially been answered.
Turner Entertainment addressed the subject at its Upfront presentation for TNT and TBS, confirming that newly-minted "Closer" regular Mary McDonnell will headline spin-off "Major Crimes," starting summer 2012, after Kyra Sedgwick's run on the original comes to an end.
TNT, decidedly committed to not rocking the boat, is also developing six new cop series and a series from writer Mitch Album ("Tuesdays With Morrie") about a D.J. who tries to revive his hometown of Detroit... via the also struggling medium of radio.
Over at TBS, the network is developing an hour-long comedy about an Midwestern couple who decide to get married and a half-hour comedy about a man who starts dating again after his girlfriend cheats on him.
"The Wedding Band," a comedy starring Austin Green, Melora Hardin and Harold Perrineau, was also officially picked up.

Laid to Rest was a classic. I haven’t seen a slasher that violent in a long time that wasn’t hyped with stars and crazy promotion like Hatchet was. Don’t get me wrong I love Hatchet too. Slasher movies are why I watch these films and fell in love with horror in the first place. The first time I saw Laid to Rest it was a late night and I was falling asleep and immediately woke up and dove into this film. I recall screaming (yes, screaming) during multiple portions of the film. That’s why I was so excited when I saw a sequel was being made, and now we have an official release date! Chrome Skull: Laid to Rest 2 directed by Robert Hall will be in theaters September 20th, 2011.

The original Laid to Rest, which went on to garner cult status on DVD, did well enough to merit a sequel. Tommy finds himself once again immersed in the murderous intrigues of the psychotic ChromeSkull, who now has a new partner in crime, a man named Preston, as well as setting his video recording sights on a fresh new string of victims.

Green Day’s Broadway musical, American Idiot, had its final curtain call over the weekend, and the band decided to close it down the right way – with a mini impromptu concert. The boys took the stage after the show was over and played a full set of their greatest hits, while surprised and thrilled fans cheered enthusiastically.
The cast of the show got in on the act, as well, dancing behind the band and drinking what appeared to be beer. Armstrong spoke to the audience, thanking them for their help in making the show a success, and saying that it was like a dream to see his bedroom recreated on Broadway.

Pahrump - Call it Hof Vegas. Dennis Hof of HBO’s Cathouse no longer wants me to warn readers that his Bunny Ranch empire is in only Reno and not Las Vegas. He’s bringing his style of adult fun to the outskirts of Sin City. He called up the hotline from the middle of Crystal, Nevada to spread the news. The sounds of hammering and drills came from his end of the phone.
“We’re moving around here and getting some things done,” Dennis Hof said. “I bought two 35 year old rundown, rat trap brothels. What you’re buying is the licenses.”
The two old names were Cherry Patch Ranch and Mabel’s Whore House. The new places are Love Ranch and Dennis Hof’s Cathouse. “Those are name that are synonymous with good times.”
There are no good times for the former owner. He got arrested for bribing a county official.

There are Star Wars people, and Star Trek people. Some people dig Bugs Bunny; others love Mickey Mouse. There’s DC folks, and those who Make Theirs Marvel. There’s the “boxers” crowd…and the “briefs” bunch. Red states. Blue states. You may have heated debates over any (or none) of these ways of seeing the world, but most of the time, the stakes of these discussions aren’t as very high as they might initially seem.
There are those who think humanity is worth preserving, and those who believe we ought to self-destruct our way back into a feral wasteland. That’s the discussion that takes place in Irwin Allen’s first live-action feature film, The Story of Mankind.
And that discussion is a hoot and a half!
