Mumbai, Oct 19 (Ians) Jyothi Yarraji, who trains at the Odisha Reliance Foundation High Performance Centre, dipped under the 13-second mark in her 110m hurdles at the 61st National Open Athletics Championships in Bengaluru, becoming the first Indian woman hurdler to do so.
With her timing of 12.82 seconds, she winds up a successful year and breaking her own national record set earlier in the year. 2022 has been a record breaking year for Jyothi, as she has broken it thrice before, but due to wind levels being higher than permissible it was not registered.

Bhubaneswar, Oct 15 (Ians) Sabita Toppo, a 17-year-old 100M sprint hurdler from Odisha, ran an impressive 14.17s to bag the silver at the Asian Youth Athletics Championship held in Kuwait, following the gold that she won in 100m hurdles at the National Youth (U-18) Athletics meet in Bhopal.
Sabita, who hails from Sundergarh, the youngest of six siblings, joined the Odisha Reliance Foundation Hpc (High-Performance Centre) in 2019 for practice and she improved in her timing by more than two seconds in the years since.
Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the athlete on her performance and wrote, “May she continue to bring glory for the State & the nation. Wish her all the best for future endeavours.”

Based on Ann Morris’s book Digging in the Southwest, first published in 1933, the film tracks how she and her husband Earl Morris excavated the ancient Anasazi civilization in the American Southwest under the direction of Sylvanus Morley. Morris and Morley were thought to be inspirations for Indiana Joes.
Breslin and Jones are cast as the famous aviator couple Anne and Charles Lindbergh. Fortune-Lloyd stars as renowned French muralist Jean Charlot and love interest of the female protagonist.
First Line Films produced the pic with The Vladar Compan.
