- Debut film was suppose to be " Ram" starring Salman Khan,Pooja Bhatt, Arbaaz Khan (Replaced Abhishek Kapoor), Sonali Bendre (Replaced Shilpa Shetty), Nasir Khan.. The film was started in 1994 and was produced by Mansoor Siddique. After a argument between Sohail and Mansoor erupted, the film was shelved. The film was 40% complete. Mansoor Siddique then sold the title song of the film " Tujhe Manga Tha Tujhe Paya Hain" to producer Firoz Nadiadwala. Firoz used it for his film " Ram Shastra".

- Was to debut in a film in a film titled "Footpath" in 1992. This was the reason he turned down the film "Khiladi". Footpath was eventually shelved. The film starred Salman Khan,Arbaaz Khan, Ritu Shivpuri, Directed by Deepak Shivdsani. The rights to the title was with Mukesh Bhatt. He allowed Deepak permission to use it for his film. Years laters the Bhatts made a film Footpath but with a different storyline.
