- Dyana Ortelli was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is an actress, known for Three Amigos! (1986), American Me (1992) and La Bamba (1987).

- Frustrated by the lack of positive roles for Latino actors in Hollywood, she began doing stand-up comedy in clubs throughout the Los Angeles area. Her East L.A. "cholita" character, Ramona from Pomona, is now a favorite with Latino audiences everywhere. Ortelli, as she is known to her friends, has performed at The Improv, The Comedy Store, The Ice House & The Laugh Factory, among many other comedy clubs. She is also a member of 'The Hot & Spicy Mamitas'. Comprised of five of the hottest Latina comediennes in the nation, the groundbreaking comedy group recently released their self-titled comedy CD.
