Invincible Season 3 Release Date: When Will Mark Grayson Return to Our Screens? - Main Image
The success of Invincible has put any talk of superhero fatigue to bed, and fans everywhere eagerly await the Invincible season 3 release date.
The critically acclaimed series first hit our screens in March 2021, and fans waited a long 19 months from the final episode of season 1 before season 2 launched.
So, will viewers have to wait that long for season 3? Well, maybe not…
Invincible Season 3 Release Date Predictions
Right now, Amazon has not announced an official Invincible season 3 release date, but a few factors suggest the wait for the next episode may be shorter than feared.
The delay between season 1 and season 2 partially resulted from rebuilding after the pandemic and the impact of the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike.
With those events firmly in the rearview mirror, the production team shouldn’t face too many delays.

Spider-Man 3 was one of those lesser-liked films out of all the live-action projects made on the friendly neighborhood web-slinger to date. Despite this, one thing that makes the film worth watching is all the candid scenes of Bully Maguire-Parker or the Cool Maguire-Parker. Though fans loved Tobey Maguire’s previous performances as well, none came as close to epic as this one.
Spider-Man 3.
That being said, it has been close to two decades since the release of the movie, and yet, some of the scenes from it are still as iconic as ever. While the Cool Peter Parker dance in the street in that classic black suit was one moment we’ll, perhaps, never forget, there is another scene that could still make you chuckle: “That’s not the position I hired you for!”

In American animation, talking animal movies are a dime-a-dozen, but the "Kung Fu Panda" series is a gem. A big part of the appeal comes from the charming lead performance of Jack Black as Dragon Warrior Po (read /Film's interview with Black on the "Kung Fu Panda" circuit here). Another reason is the Wuxia-inspired action, where the bouncy CGI complements the characters' acrobatics and allows filmmakers to execute "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" style wire-fu with no need for actual wires.
Then there's the other secret ingredient: the villains. In each of the four films made so far (with the "Kung Fu Panda 4" box office making it likely another chapter won't be far behind), Po faces a new adversary, one with a new power he must overcome while also advancing on his own spiritual journey. Pretty typical hero's journey stuff, but like in martial arts, it's all about the proper execution.

King Kong ain’t got nothin’ on Denzel Washington but he did have something on Ethan Hawke on Oscar night 2002, when Hawke lost Best Supporting Actor for his remarkable performance in Training Day. But without his co-star, Hawke might have been plenty more devastated than he was allowed to be.
Appearing on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? (via Variety), Ethan Hawke remembered that Denzel Washington had some sage wisdom after he lost to Iris’ Jim Broadbent. According to Hawke, Washington told him, “‘It’s better that you didn’t win. Losing was better…You don’t want an award to improve your status. You want to improve the award’s status.’ That’s the way he thinks…The Academy Award has more power, because Denzel has a couple. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and an actor and entertainer who has a big fanbase and a lot of influence. Starting out as a WWE star, he soon transitioned to television and movies, becoming one of the most popular action stars in the world. This new report comes from the set of the upcoming Red One movie, which is set to come out on November 15, 2024 and will be a Christmas action movie with Johnson in the main role. Alongside him, the movie will star Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis, as well as Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons in the role of Santa Claus.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently made his grand return to wrestling with the WWE, but the star might be taking his "heel" persona a little too far these days.
There's absolutely nothing unusual in Hollywood when it comes to the delicate art of managing high-profile egos -- just ask Vin Diesel, who knows all too well from his days bumping heads with his famous co-star during the "Fast and Furious" saga -- but things seem to have escalated to a whole new level on the set of Amazon Studios' upcoming Christmas film "Red One." That's the latest scuttlebutt according to extensive reporting by Umberto Gonzalez of The Wrap, who paints an alarming picture of habitual lateness, deeply unprofessional behavior, and producing inexperience in several crucial roles. All of these factors seem to have come together to turn what was initially envisioned as a straight-to-streaming original and a potential franchise starter...

There were tons of cool scenes that were not included in the theatrical versions of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, with J.K. Oscar winner J.K. Simmons made his career on television, appearing in Law & Order and Oz, and while he did play J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007), it wasn’t until Juno (2007) that he became a brand name, later appearing in Burn After Reading (2008), La La Land (2016), Justice League (2017), Being the Ricardos (2021), and other films. Before The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Six Feet Under, The Wire, or any of the other popular HBO shows, there was Oz. The one-hour drama chronicled the lives of the staff and inmates at the Oswald State Correctional Facility, a maximum security penitentiary home to the most violent offenders in the state. It’s been over twenty years since the series concluded, but creator Tom Fontana is back with an Oz short film starring Lee Tergesen as Tobias Beecher and Dean Winters as Ryan O’Reily.
Titled Zo, the short film actually premiered at the Atx Festival in 2021, but few people were able to see it. Thankfully, Zo will premiere on YouTube on May 1st, giving fans around the world the chance to finally see it. According to Kirk Acevado, who starred in Oz as Miguel Alvarez, it could even lead to a sequel series if the short film gets enough buzz.

Could Invincible be getting more seasons on Prime Video? According to Skybound Republic, an investment/crowdfunding site that allows fans to invest in the label, more episodes of the ultra-violent comic book action series are coming. In a since-deleted portion of the webpage, the site said Invincible Season 3 is in production, while the show had been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The webpage promotes a video game set in the Invincible universe, which fans can help fund. The crowdfunded project sits at $442,700 as of this posting, with 14 days to go in the campaign.
A portion of the mission statement for the campaign describes why making a video based on a licensed property causes some problems:
“Most crowdfunded video games are centered around indie games, and retail investors rarely have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Aaa game publishers. Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie.

A trailer made by fans for a Batgirl movie with Jenna Ortega has got more than 1.03 million views in less than five days. It’s made by Kh Studio and uses different effects, sounds, AI, and movie stuff. But it’s just for fun and doesn’t mean Ortega is really doing anything with DC. Still, people might keep talking about Ortega joining DC because of how many people watched the trailer.
We’re not sure if there are any plans for Batgirl in Gunn’s Dcu, even though the trailer shows Dceu characters.
When James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as leaders of DC Studios last year, big changes were expected. Shortly after, the studio officially announced the end of the DC Extended Universe (Dceu) and introduced a new cinematic universe called Dcu, serving as a soft reboot. This shift resulted in the cancellation of planned sequels like...

A fan-made trailer for a Batgirl movie starring Jenna Ortega has gained over 1.03 million views in less than five days. Created by Kh Studio, the trailer uses various effects, sound design, AI technologies, and movie analytics. However, it’s purely for entertainment and doesn’t indicate any real projects involving Ortega and DC. Despite this, rumors about Ortega’s potential casting may continue due to the trailer’s popularity.
Even though the trailer features Dceu characters, it’s unknown whether something related to Batgirl is planned in Gunn’s Dcu.
When James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as CEOs of DC Studios last year, we knew nothing would be the same. Indeed, it didn’t take long for the studio to officially announce the end of the DC Extended Universe and the start of another cinematic universe, Dcu, that will replace it as a soft reboot. That change in...

Theater owners have been treated to their first glimpse of Amazon MGM Studios’ year-end holiday romp Red One, starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans. While the studio didn’t give an official presentation at CinemaCon this week, it used the annual convention to show off 10 minutes of the comedy inside a spacious suite at Caesars Palace.
Those who saw the footage were asked to keep plot details under tight wraps, although its known that J.K. Simmons plays Santa and Bonnie Hunt plays Mrs. Claus.
Red One, from Dwayne Johnson and his Seven Bucks Productions, is set to hit theaters worldwide Nov. 15, 2024, in order to take full advantage of the long year-end holiday corridor (several cinema operators told The Hollywood Reporter the footage looks promising). The holiday action comedy is based on an original story from Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions. Jake Kasdan directed from a script by Chris Morgan.

The iconic 2021 Amazon series Invincible can be dialed down in simple terms, as a kid having daddy issues. Except, his father is a psycho superhero, and he is a superhero, and they are both Viltrumites. But yeah, that’s pretty much the most dialed-down gist of the series.
We’re kidding. Of course, the series has much more depth to it than stated above and has multiple characters with spectacular storylines. Regardless, as per this theory, Mark Grayson might not be able to beat all the Viltrumites, but there is another superhero who can!
J. K. Simmons’ Omni-Man and Steven Yeun’s Invincible Mark Grayson May Not Be Strong Enough For The Viltrumites!
So to sum up the story of Invincible, we might have to face some superhero traumas alongside some daddy issues. To start off, Omni-Man (voiced by J.K. Simmons) is an alien from the race Viltrumites. That’s why he’s so powerful.

Ben Affleck may have quietly taken a crucial step in his acting career, something that not all of his fans will approve of. Affleck revealed that he no longer had fun playing the protagonist in films. After playing the Dceu’s Batman, Affleck has been largely focusing on playing the supporting characters in recent films. He added that the side characters gave him more scope for performance rather than his lead roles.
Justice League star Ben Affleck has lost the fun of playing protagonists in films
Ben Affleck was recently seen playing the secondary character, Count Pierre d’Alençon, opposite Adam Driver in The Last Duel. He also played the supporting character, Uncle Charlie, in George Clooney’s 2021 film The Tender Bar opposite Tye Sheridan.

Invincible is having a great run as an animated series, produced by Seth Rogen under Amazon Studios. The show recently wrapped up its second season, one that ended with a bang. However, there are a lot of things that had to change for the adaptation of the comic, specifically because of how many characters from other IPs it featured in its source material.
Invincible (2021-present)
While comics created under the Image Comics label are owned by their respective creators, the characters do share a world with other IPs, and often crossover with each other during major events. Given that an Invincible live-action film is in the works, it is completely possible that Invincible could kick off a shared Image Comics universe, that could bring to the screen a host of beloved characters.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Invincible Season 2 finale.] In classic Invincible fashion, the April 4 Season 2 finale featured a whole lot of blood, guts, and shocking twists — along with setting up a host of other issues for Mark (Steven Yeun), Nolan (J.K. Simmons), the Guardians of the Globe, and more to tackle in Season 3. Between the ferocity of Mark’s take-down of dimension-hopping baddie Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. After 8 Years, Ben Affleck’s Thriller Regains Popularity On Netflix. (Photo Credit – IMDb)
After eight long years since its triumphant reign in cinemas, the mighty saga of Ben Affleck’s action-thriller, “The Accountant,” rises again, casting its shadow upon Netflix. There are tons of exported characters in the world of Invincible, given how the show pokes fun at the conventions of the superhero genre. While having a faux Justice League (that gets axed in the first episode of the show), other superhero archetypes have also found their way into the show, such as Shrinking Rae.

Given how similar the character is to The Atom and Ant-Man, and given the nature of the show, Shrinking Rae was bound to take a creative approach with her powers, and also employ a particular meme that has been making the rounds on the internet. However, the show proved it wrong too, in one of the most devastating and brutal scenes of the show, something right of The Boys.

Justice League Unlimited is often regarded as one of the best series ever created by the DC Animated Universe. Throughout its run, it kept fans’ interest at its peak, making them hooked on it and wanting more at the end of each episode. But even with such good reviews, fans had conflicting opinions over a few things, especially one that included the Green Lantern.
Justice League Unlimited.
One of these few features of the story that caught fans in a whirlwind of mixed emotions was Green Lantern ending up choosing Vixen at one point. However, while fans may be worried about it because of what they saw onscreen, a lot of thought process was involved behind its helming, and the writer’s opinion on the same only further proves this!

"The Accountant" is an incredibly silly movie, and I mean that in the best possible way. There's something wonderful about a movie this ridiculous, especially since everything that happens in the film is played completely straight. Here is a movie with approximately fifty different subplots, all of them jumbled together into one goofy action extravaganza. At the center of it all is the titular accountant, an autistic man played by Ben Affleck. Affleck's character, who goes by the name Christian Wolff, helps criminals with their finances. Who does a drug lord turn to when they need to handle expenses? They can't just walk into H&r Block, now can they? But wait, not only is Christian a criminal accountant, but he's also a highly skilled assassin with perfect aim. When he was a kid, his father trained him to become a killing machine. Why? Why not? Just go with it.

Having played J. Jonah Jameson in Marvel and Commissioner Gordon in DC, J.K. Simmons is no stranger to excelling in the comic book genre. And with Invincible, the Oscar-winner was once again allowed to spread his acting chops in the realm of superheroes, and unlike his live-action Cbm counterparts, Omni-Man was not bound by mortality.
But this isn’t the lone time the actor has voiced Cbm characters in animation, as prior to this series, the Whiplash Star had played two major DC villains in the acclaimed Justice League Unlimited.

Whether it be Kai in Kung Fu Panda 3 or Lenny Turteltaub in Bojack Horseman, J.K. Simmons always brings out his A-game while voicing animated characters. Furthermore, his performance as Nolan in Invincible stands as a testament to the actor’s expertise as a Va.

The world of animation has literally no bounds. An animated show can be as brutal or violent as the creator’s imagination or as dreamy as Disney. J.K. Simmons knows this fact better than most since he voices the character of Omni-Man in the iconic animated TV show Invincible.
It is the belief of J.K. Simmons (and us too) that animations have no restraints. While talking about Invincible and how the character of Omni-Man is quite an iconic one, Simmons revealed that he hasn’t read ahead much in the source material. Although primary research about one’s character is a good thing when voicing or acting… J.K. Simmons has a fair reason for not reading ahead!

The world was shocked when Steven Yeun, Mark Hamill, and, several other stars joined hands in voicing the iconic animated series Invincible. Premiering in 2021, the series was the animated equivalent of The Boys and received worldwide acclaim and praise for not holding back.
The character of Steven Yeun, who is Invincible himself, is on the path of discovering his powers. Being a superhero requires a supervillain who could challenge him. Luckily (or unluckily) for Invincible, a supervillain is already on the hunt to kill him. As fate would have it, however, the villain in Invincible also suffers from the same weakness that Marvel’s Venom suffers from!

Staying true to its comic roots, Invincible has largely pivoted away from Omni-Man in its second season. After nearly beating his son to death in Season One, the J.K. Simmons-led character undergoes an emotional journey and finds his new home in Thraxa after saving their people from a black hole.
However, the character has remained largely absent in Season Two since the show’s premiere after getting gravely injured while battling the Viltrumites alongside his son and is ultimately taken into custody. Reflecting on his little appearance this season, Simmons elaborated on the character’s future moving forward.
