Sally began her career in show business as a background singer for artists such as the Carpenters, Tanya Tucker, and Perry Como. Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Jellylorum/Griddlebone in the Los Angeles production of "Cats", and she went on to do more than 800 performances of that show at the Schubert Theater in Los Angeles. She left the show on four days notice to move to New York to take over the role of MJ McKinnon on Another World. Her favorite role was as Dot opposite Harry Groener in the South Coast Repertory Theater production of Sunday in the Park With George.
