Born in 1960. Zenica (ex SFR Yugoslavia). He finished grammar school in
Sarajevo (1978), and Faculty of dramatic arts in Belgrade (1984), group
for film and TV directing.
Film theorist and critic, wrote for all main Yugoslav magazines, and Positiff and Sight And Sound as well. Author of the several film books, Tajni Zivot Filma (The Secret Life Of Film), 1993; Stranci U Raju (Strangers in Paradise), 1998... Has worked as a selector of the several national film festivals, member of the juries Fipresci in Annecy , Vienna, Cannes, Mannheim,...
His films has attended international film festivals, Berenice (Madrid), Six Days in June (Selb), The Letter (Berlin), Jasmina und der Krieg (Venice), The State of the Dead (Munich),...
He has won several prizes on national and international film festivals.
Chair of the Board and the selector of the FEST (Belgrade International Film Festival) 1997-2002. Works as film critic for the BLIC magazine.
Guest lecturer on history of cinema and film direction on Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Belgrade).
Programming director of Yugoslav Film Archives (Jugoslovenska Kinoteka) from 1989.
