The "Reverend Slick" gimmick was a take on his real life as Slick
continues as a minister in Fort Worth, Texas.
Former WWE manager.
Slick did a stint in Texas All-Star Wrestling, managing Madd Maxx and
Lord Humongous.
Slick managed Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Butch Reed, Big Bossman,
Akeem, Warlord, Paul Roma, Hercules, Zeus, Kamala & Rick Martel.
When Slick first appeared on WWF Television, he purchased a "half
interest" in Freddie Blassie's heel stable. Blassie was not in the best
of health, and was being slowly phased out of storylines. Slick
eventually took over all managerial duties from Fred Blassie.
Was billed as being 5'11" but was actually 6'4" and taller than many of the wrestlers that he managed.
The first African-American manager in WWE history.
