Born in Sydney Australia, of Tongan heritage, Maila's unique look and skill has won her fans across the television world. At only 8 years old, Maila has booked multiple national and international commercials and TV roles including PostMates, Mastercard, NRMA Insurance, Woolworths, all whilst being a full time 1st grader!
At just 6 years old, she landed her first lead role in a TV series as "Lola" on the comedy series "Spreadsheet" starring alongside BAFTA winner, Katherine Parkinson, under the production team at Northern Pictures who are multiple Emmy award winners (HardBall and Love on The Spectrum).
"Spreadsheet" aired on Paramount+ in Australia and was then sold in the UK, Canada and across Europe giving Maila international exposure. Maila's cheeky and vivacious nature was a big hit on set; with many of her ad-libs making the final cut. Spreadsheet's Director booked her immediately for their next big commercial for the National Broadcaster where she rapped the theme song for ABC Kids app
As a 5 year old, Maila starred in the ABC "Little Kids Big Talk" series where she interviewed important people throughout Australia's history, including the Former Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, Paralympic Gold Medallist, Kurt Fearnley, and ARIA award winner and musical star, Christine Anu.
