From the start, this episode of Supergirl felt different. The mournful soundtrack, the vintage car on the lonely mountain road, the focus on the Danvers sisters. This is the episode we needed to mark some time and hold some space for the collective pain shared by the Danvers sisters. It’s so much more successful than similar efforts in the first couple of episodes because it allows us to follow along on Alex and Kara’s journey, rather than just hear about it.
The bookends of this episode tell us about the journey the writers are hoping we will take with these mourning siblings. On paper, it’s...

Just sit right back, and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip… Yep, Grey’s Anatomy set sail Thursday as Jackson took most of Grey Sloan’s menfolk “fishing” aboard his brand-spanking-new boat. Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Arizona, April and Maggie’s dull, dull workday got a whole lot more interesting when they treated a patient who… On second thought, keep reading. This past Wednesday night, September 20,2017, Big Brother season 19 contestant Jason Dent chatted it up with Rob Cesternino from "Rob Has A Podcast" in the backyard interviews. During this interview, Jason revealed why he was one of the five jurors that voted not to award the grand prize of $500,000 to houseguest Paul Abrahamian. Jason revealed that he really had a problem with Paul keeping up the lie even after Jason was evicted. He just didn't think that was necessary among other things. The interview kicked off with Rob saying, "Alright, we're here with Jason aka Whistlenut. How you doing buddy?" Jason said, "I'm doing amazing. I'm glad to be here. I'm glad it's over." Rob said, "Are you happy with this outcome tonight?" Jason said, "You know what? I'm not unhappy. I feel like either way I was going to be rewarding bad behavior. But, I feel like both of those...

Alright guys. The big Double Elimination episode is happening tonight September 7,2017, and Paul has revealed some very interesting plans that he has in store when they evict Jason. He doesn’t know that it’s a Double Elimination necessarily but he has revealed what he wants to happen after Jason walks out that door. Apparently, he has plans for he and Josh to stage some sort of huge fight between the both of them in an effort to convince Alex that Paul had nothing to do with her partner Jason getting evicted this week. We’re not sure how the fast-paced Double Eviction will affect this plan. We can’t imagine that it will run as smoothly since they won’t have as much time as they would during a regular week. We assume that Paul will still attempt his plans but will try to pull them off a little bit quicker.

Alright guys. So, last night, August 31,2017, the Big Brother season 19 houseguests finally competed for the next Hoh after evicting Matt over Raven during the Live eviction show. There was a rain delay that prohibited them from doing the comp during the Live show. According to Big Brother Network, the Hoh competition was a physical sprint challenge. During it, the houseguests we required to hold a button until the screen displayed “Go.” If any of them made a false start, they were automatically eliminated from the comp. They say Paul had a plan going into this comp that entailed convincing Alex, Raven and Kevin to throw the comp to Josh or Christmas. They didn’t show this comp on the live feeds. The live feeds actually came back on about 90 minutes after the Live show ended. Apparently, Christmas pulled out the victory in this one even with a broken foot. We...

A big hit at Horror Channel FrightFest, we chat to Danny Morgan about the upcoming horror, Double Date...
London-born actor/writer Danny Morgan (Off The Hook, Ideal, On The Road) had a very good reason for turning to the horror genre when it came to writing his first screenplay. “I thought that was a genre I could do something in, because there are so many crap horror films. I thought ‘well, it’s not going to stand out horribly if it’s completely terrible’. So I went into it with a good frame of mind!”
It’s a characteristically self-deprecating remark from Morgan who, along with director Benjamin Barfoot, can rest assured that Double Date is one of the funniest and most entertaining British horror comedies of recent years. Following screenings at Karlovy Vary and Edinburgh, it brought the house down at this year’s London’s Horror Channel FrightFest,...

On this episode of Suits, "Full Disclosure," Mike searches for a way to take down Reform Corp. with some help from Anita Gibbs, Alex and Harvey's complicated history is revealed and Mike finally learns Harvey's motive for protecting Alex.
Apparently, in order to understand what shady dealings Alex is mixed up in, we have to endure some flashbacks. I'm no fan of flashbacks, and one TV writer explained aptly why -- it's lazy storytelling. And don't get me started on the bad wigs and makeup. Anyway, Alex's story goes back seven years and he and Harvey are playing poker. Harvey confesses to Alex that he failed to make partner after being screwed over by Louis. Alex tells Harvey that he could bring him on at Bratton as a partner. Harvey wants to know what's in it for Alex. Alex heard that Tommy Bratton is looking to bring in a big earner from another firm.

According to Big Brother Network, a ton of different conversations took place on the live feeds yesterday, August 21st. Apparently, since the houseguests feel like this week is a lock to get Mark out, they’ve been plotting and planning their future moves. And let me tell you it sounds like we could see quite a bit of chaos as Paul has one side pitted to go after the other side and vice versa. He is absolutely making sure everyone is focusing on going after everyone but him, Josh and Christmas. At 4:25 pm pacific time August 21st, Josh told Matt, Paul and Christmas, “We can’t let Jason or Alex win the next HoH because they might try to come after one of us. Late last night, August 11, 2017, the eviction nomination ceremony finally took place for Big Brother season 19. The current Hoh Alex decided to nominate Jason and Elena for eviction this week. The real target is Cody. They plan to backdoor him again. According to Big Brother Network, Paul had originally volunteered to go up as a pawn instead of Jason. However, Jason apparently just wouldn’t take no for an answer! He was actually begging to go up on the block because he wants to make sure he competes for the veto to make sure Cody doesn’t win it if he happens to get drawn. As previously reported, Mark and Elena were Alex’s very first nomination plans with Cody as the backdoor target. If that didn’t work, they agreed to get rid of Mark as a plan B. But Mark won the special temptation competition to win safety for the week.

It’s in regards to the banging of the pots and pans. Apparently, after yesterday’s crazy debacle, they had reached their final straw with it. There was a situation where Josh went to annoy the hell out of Jessica and Cody again with the pots and pans while they were in the backyard. He started banging them and doing his whole “da, da, da, da, da” song. Jessica tried to tell him to go away but he just kept it up. Then finally, Cody jumped up and charged after him. I don't know about you, but I think Owen would be the better team leader.
On Quantico Season 2 Episode 15, there's still some team drama that gets worked out, but, for the most part, it's all entertaining drama. There aren't any petty high schoolers this time around, thankfully.
Let's start with the good: Owen and Clay's leadership battle.
Clay is in a leadership role, but he recruited most of his team's Farm trainer. Who did Clay think the team was going to report to?
This provides some tension between Owen and Clay. It's fun to watch, mainly because Owen treats Clay as a recruit. I mean Owen's not wrong to do it; Clay needs training.
Everyone going to Owen made sense. He was brought in to whip them into shape, and he did just that. Clay, on the other hand, has been almost like a figurehead. He briefs the team, but that's about it.

The characters of Quantico reunite in this episode, titled "Lnwilt," as they are given a major task to work on together.
Alex and Shelby's friendship is back on track, and both get the call to report for the top secret mission that they and their former teammates will be taking part in together. Ryan, Dayana and Nimah also get the call. It doesn't take much time for things to get awkward, as Shelby runs into a familiar face -- Caleb's brother, Clay Haas, who reminds Shelby and Alex that Shelby had an affair with their father after she and Caleb broke up.

One day after what would have been Sandra Bland's 30th birthday, Star devoted an episode to honoring another black woman who died at the hands of police after a supposed routine traffic stop.
While the woman at the center of this show, salon employee Danielle Jackson, might be fictional, her story is all too real. Like Sandra Bland and so many others before her, Danielle was needlessly cut down before her time.
And like those other men and women, Danielle's tragic death becomes a rallying cry for the black community, especially when it appears that those responsible for her death will go unpunished.
Whatever you may think about movements like Black Lives Matter, you cannot deny that Star Season 1 Episode 7 was a powerful and timely reminder that amidst all of the other issues currently populating the news, racial tension remains at the forefront of American culture.

The "woe is me" President has finally left the building.
President Kirkman finally came into his own on Designated Survivor Season 1 Episode 8 while dealing with a national emergency, a personal emergency, and a shocking confession.
In the old days, Kirkman would have been wallowing for hours after seeing the ricin victim's daughter on the news. He would have postponed the elections, beating himself up for not being right for the job. Again.
This time around though, he took the daughter's words to heart and gave a riveting speech about civic duty. He wants to get the government back up and running, and he urged everyone to go out and vote.
And, you'd think everyone would want to get the government up and running. How many weeks has it been without a government? Are there any services still running? Where's the money coming from? Who's doing the running?

Persistent Nell actually gets the next break on the never-ending hunt for the mole inside NCIS: Los Angeles.
On NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 10, Nell takes another crack at the world's dullest informant, Carl Brown, who she convinces to talk before something bad happens to him for being perceived as a snitch. He gives up more detail about Natalie, who recruited him as her pseudo-mole.
Nell continues her growth this season, proving she's more than Eric's geek-to-English translator. (Let's face it. She's exotic; he's odd.)
She's proven to be a ferocious, pint-sized action hero and a dangerous driver. Now she's showed her skill as an interrogator. It's going to be hard to send her back full time to Ops after Kensi gets back. She deserves more.
It was good to see Hetty out in the field, however briefly. It's clear she's the inspiration for Nell's driving exploits.

2.7 The Darkest Place
Supergirl doesn't waste any time moving almost all of its plot lines forward in The Darkest Place. It was arguably one subplot too many, but it's hard to say anything bad about an episode that included the real Hank Henshaw as Cyborg Superman, the return of Jeremiah Danvers, and more insight into Cadmus' evil plan. And that's without mentioning all of the major character dynamic development we also got. Nope, Supergirl season 2 isn't losing any of its narrative momentum. I'm almost sad that we have to take a break from all of this action for the four-way sperhero crossover next week.

In Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy, Alex repeatedly reminded a young patient that nothing’s as bad as broccoli. However, the doctor’s own situation came pretty damn close. Not only was he charged with felony assault in the second degree, but Jo made it clear that they were through, and Bailey decided that he could no longer operate at Grey Sloan. Could his prognosis get any worse? Thankfully, no. Read on, and we’ll get to the one ray of hope with which “Catastrophe and the Cure” left Karev.

On Quantico Season 2 Episode 1, we found ourselves in a strangely similar situation – Alex and Ryan back in training and a time jump to New York City in chaos.
The title sequence may have said Quan2co, but that seems to be one of the biggest changes.
Below, TV Fanatics Meaghan Frey, Paul Dailly, Jasmine Peterson, and Allison Nichols discuss this season's terrorist plot, the new recruits, and how the season premiere did overall.
Did you enjoy the season two premiere or did you find it underwhelming?
Jasmine: Meh. I found it underwhelming. I don't have exceptionally high expectations when I watch Quantico. I usually base how bad an episode is on how many times I roll my eyes or sigh. There was a fair amount of both.
Meaghan: I might be part of the minority, but I actually really enjoyed it. The "farm" aspect of the storyline feels recycled, but...

Oh, Alex.
Or, perhaps we should write instead, oh no, Alex.
ABC has unveiled the first footage from Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 1 and it centers on the beatdown Alex put on Andrew toward the end of Season 12.
Did he really expect there to be no fallout from this violent action?
"You think nobody’s going to realize this is you?” Meredith asked him at one point during a heated conversation about the incident.
She later warns Alex that he “could go to jail," while he asks his friend a very simple question:
Is she going to turn him in?
No way, right?
We don't know a whole lot about Grey's Anatomy Season 13 at the moment.
Although Shonda Rhimes did recently come out and say that Arizona will be getting a new love interest, while Callie will still be referenced at times, despite the departure of Sarah Ramirez.

Correct me if I’m wrong, Grey’s Anatomy enthusiasts, but the Season 12 finale had it all — everything from a runaway bride and a budding love (lust?) triangle to the revelation of a devastating secret and a guest appearance by the stork. Heck, it even had some of that “lighter tone” that Shonda Rhimes promised us so long ago. Before you hit the comments with your review, let’s rewind and go over the highlights.

Well, maybe not so much “prodigal” as “troubled” and “prone to handing out nicknames like he’s the second coming of James ‘Sawyer’ Ford.”
And maybe not so much “returned” as “been revealed as stashed away in his mother’s mansion until the election cycle is over” and “using heroin to cope with being a terror victim.” But you get the gist.

Last time on Quantico, Elias revealed that he was blackmailed into planting the bomb at Grand Central and framing Alex. Before he committed suicide by jumping out of a window, he told Alex that he was contacted to plant another bomb, but he refused. While Alex and her circle of FBI agent friends searched for the second bomb in a nearby hotel, they realized that they were on a wild goose chase as a bomb exploded in the FBI's Emergency Command Center.
The winter premiere of Quantico, titled "Alex," deals with Alex's testimony before a congressional hearing about the terror attacks. Hopefully, we will find out which of the characters we are acquainted with (if any) perish in the second bombing.

In this episode of Quantico, "Guilty," Alex has to do a different kind of walk of shame after she turned herself in to try and stop the real terrorists from exploding a second bomb somewhere in the city. Despite having a number of allies inside the FBI, she's handcuffed and led past them as she gets taken to "The Vault." It appears that Alex is going to be going through some sort of rendition as Liam stops the arresting agents from reading Alex her rights.
During Training, we find Miranda in the hospital and her son still on the run. Caleb and Shelby are still plenty hot and heavy, and Alex and Ryan are still trying to repair their relationship. After Ryan tells Alex that Liam hasn't shown up, she goes to his home and finds him drunk and passed out. She gets him in the shower and explains that...

Supergirl, Season 1, Episode 5, “How Does She Do It?”
Written by Yahlin Chang & Ted Sullivan
Directed by Thor Freudenthal
Airs Mondays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
It is becoming increasingly clear that Supergirl quite simply doesn’t know what kind of story it wants to tell. It has the tone of a superhero procedural down, and the airiness that it seems to be aiming for is present, but everything else is all over the place to the great detriment of each episode. “How Does She Do It?” is the sloppiest of all episodes to have aired so far and in the most varied of areas. Not only are the A and B plots all over the place, but character motivations are unclear at best or the complete opposite of characterizations that have already been established at the worst. It is astonishing that there are so many moving pieces throughout the episode...

Demon Seed (1977) was the latest in an ever growing subgenre of science fiction film: Technodoubt (okay, I just made that up). But as the world started to catch up with its imagination (Apple Computers was born in ’76), and technology raged forward like a silicon locomotive, Hollywood searched for ways to exploit mankind’s natural fear of progress. From the dangerously malfunctioning Hal in 2001 (1968), to the murderous androids of Westworld (’73), rich veins of cybernetic carnage were mined for maximum cinematic paranoia. Demon Seed upped the ante by downloading the menace right into the home.
Released in April by MGM, the film was not a commercial success by any means, but certainly drew attention from critics due to its unusual (and quite absurd) high concept story, a showcase performance from Julie Christie, and a piqued interest in director Donald Cammell. Regardless of the gateway, Demon Seed remains a unique genre treatise on dominance and loss.

The twists and turns kept coming last time on Quantico. In the aftermath of the terror attack in New York, Alex's mother went on television to urge her daughter to turn herself in. Alex turned to her friend from training, Simon, who told Alex that he worked for a tech start-up after he was kicked out of Quantico. That was a little white lie since Simon got a call from the FBI Executive Assistant Director as Alex was waiting for her "friend" in his living room.

With many memorable numbers including his first to ‘Dhoom Taana’ featuring Sytycd super couple Joshua and Katee, the choreographer has, with a folk classic flavor, given audiences a wonderful view into this amazing dance style.
