Larrian Marie Gillespie is a daughter of Dorothy Olive Tibeau and
Herbert Laurence Gillespie, Canadian natives who were a former
vaudeville dance couple.
She is a sister of Darlene Gillespie (The Mickey Mouse Club) and Gina
Gillespie who was also a child actress. She has an older sister and two
younger brothers. In 1956, Larrain, her older sister Patricia, and
younger sister Gina sang with their sister Darlene on a Talent Roundup
episode of The Mickey Mouse Club television series.
Dr. Larrian M. Gillespie earned a medical degree from the University of
California at Los Angeles School of Medicine. She practiced in Beverly
Hills for 15 years. In 1995, after retiring from her medical practice,
she became a freelance writer specializing in health and nutrition and
has written several books dealing with women's health. She has also
written travel and cooking articles for various publications.
Her book titles include: You Don't Have to Live With Cystitis, The
Goddess Diet, The Menopause Diet, The Menopause Diet Mini Meal
Cookbook, The Menopause Diet Daily Journal, and The Gladiator Diet.
