"There's a person you know who is not who they say they are." Who?! Who could it be?? Level 33 Ent. has debuted an official trailer for a very cheesy crime thriller titled Deadly Justice, made by filmmaker Karyn Klein, from a screenplay written by actor Corin Nemec. This film is set for a VOD debut in April, though this really looks like made-for-tv junk. A successful female prosecutor who put away a prominent but corrupt Judge, has her life and business turned upside down by a murderous stalker after appearing on a true crime show to discuss the case. He is convinced that Judge Halstead is an innocent man and becomes hellbent on putting Holly away for good. The movie stars Kelly Sullivan, Brian Krause, Corin Nemec, Christiana Leucas, Jason London, and Marco St. John. That super specific final scene from the trailer makes me wonder if it's actually the...

“The Young and the Restless” star Sharon Case appeared in plenty of episode submissions at the 2017 Daytime Emmys, but unfortunately none of them were hers. She was the driving force of a baby-switch storyline that won a Supporting Actor Emmy for her on-screen husband at the time, Steve Burton, and that also earned nominations for supporting actresses Stacy Haiduk and Kelly Sullivan and younger actress Alyvia Alyn Lind. Case was featured in all of their Emmy reels, but she herself was snubbed for Best Actress. In fact, Case has never been nominated in the leading race despite almost a quarter-century on the top-rated CBS soap. Can she finally change that this year?
The character of Sharon Newman was created by “Y&R” in 1994 and was played briefly by Monica Potter and then Heidi Mark before Case assumed the role later that year and made it her own. She earned a...

Tyler Perry’s most recent television project, “Too Close to Home,” received backlash for having a predominately white cast. The filmmaker is known for creating projects that feature African-American actors and the change made some of his fans criticize his TLC show on social media.
Now, Perry is responding to those who have questioned his casting decisions by saying, “That’s totally reverse racism, because it was coming from African-American people,” he told The Associated Press.
“I don’t know if it was because they thought I should only be giving jobs to black people. Well, I think that’s ridiculous,” Perry added. “If you look at the hundreds of black people I’ve given jobs to and even the ones I’ve made millionaires, people of color, I just think it’s unfair.”

Our forum posters are debating two very different episode submissions for Best Supporting Actress at the Daytime Emmys to determine who really is out front: Jane Elliot ("General Hospital"), for a scene in which she demands more from her husband (seven-time Emmy winner Anthony Geary), or Elizabeth Hendrickson ("The Young and the Restless"), who is heartbroken over the death of her young daughter in a hit-and-run accident. The nominees are as follows (click each actor's name to watch their reels): -Break- Will Eric Martsolf ('Days') spoil overdue Bradford Anderson ('Gh') at Daytime Emmys? Melissa Claire Egan, "The Young and the Restless" Jane Elliot, "General Hospital" Amelia Heinle, "The Young and the Restless" Elizabeth Hendrickson, "The Young and the Restless" Kelly Sullivan, "General Hospital" At the very least, most forum posters seem to agree...'...

The Daytime Emmy reels for Best Supporting Actress are available for viewing online. I've watched all five. Will veteran Jane Elliot ("General Hospital") win for the first time since 1981? -Break- Watch her rivals' reels: Melissa Claire Egan, Amelia Heinle, Elizabeth Hendrickson, and Kelly Sullivan Length of Reel: 10:25 Synopsis: Luke Spencer (Emmy-winner Anthony Geary) kisses Tracy Quartermaine (Elliot) and asks her to be the home he returns to after his long journeys, but Tracy refuses, confessing that she is still waiting for a soul mate and won't settle for anything less. Analysis: At more than 10 minutes, Elliot has one of the longest reels in the category -- Amelia Heinle ("The Young and the Restless") also entered a 10-minute scene -- but it takes time to build. Tracy tries to understand the unprompted kiss, and an evasive Luke dodges the question, so it's not until the se...

The Daytime Emmy reels for Best Supporting Actress are available for viewing online. I've watched all five. After five nominations in six years, will Melissa Claire Egan ("The Young and the Restless") finally win? -Break- Watch her rivals' reels: Jane Elliot, Amelia Heinle, Elizabeth Hendrickson, and Kelly Sullivan Length of Reel: 8:49 Synopsis: After a confrontation with her ex-husband, Chelsea Newman (Egan) is forced to confess to current husband Dylan (Supporting Actor nominee Steve Burton) that their child isn't biologically his. Analysis: This is the same reel Burton submitted in the Supporting Actor race, and it's easy to understand why both actors selected it. The episode offers nearly equal material to both (Egan as the confessor and Burton as the wronged man), and though Burton gets slightly more emotions to play -- the sudden realization of betrayal, the heartbreaking loss of his chil...

Will Kelly Sullivan ("General Hospital") win as one half of a woman with split personalities? -Break- Watch her rivals' reels: Melissa Claire Egan, Jane Elliot, Amelia Heinle, and Elizabeth Hendrickson Length of Reel: 5:24 Synopsis: After her son is pronounced brain dead, Connie Falconeri (Sullivan) drowns her sorrows with childhood boyfriend Sonny (Emmy-winner Maurice Benard). Analysis: Sullivan, a first-time nominee, plays drunk and angry as Connie copes with losing everything. Like "The Young and the Restless" rivals Elizabeth Hendrickson and Amelia Heinle, she plays out a storyline involving the death of her child, but she's playing different emotional notes: more defiant and bitter, but at times just as potent. However, there is a lot of plot for the viewer to process ...'...

She is voercome with grief, and then anger when she blames Delia's father (Best Actor nominee Billy Miller) and her husband Kevin (Emmy-winner Greg Rikaart) for indirectly causing the tragedy. Can Amelia Heinle ("The Young and the Restless") win as a grieving stepmother? -Break- Watch her rivals' reels: Melissa Claire Egan, Jane Elliot, Elizabeth Hendrickson, and Kelly Sullivan Length of Reel: 10:24 Synopsis: Victoria Newman (Heinle) mourns her young stepdaughter, Delia, who died in a hit-and-run accident. She is consoled by her sister Abby (Melissa Ordway) before her husband, Billy (Best Actor nominee Billy Miller), returns home. He discusses his grief and tells Victoria he can't get through it without her. Analysis: Heinle and rival Jane Elliot ("General Hospital") submitted episodes of the same length, though Heinle arguably has more impact, openly weeping from the very beginning of her scene. General Hospital: Week In Review, August 13-17, 2012. Impending Mayhem
General Hospital was rife with angst and the portent of mayhem during the week of August 13-17. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Josslyn were admitted to General Hospital after Jerry (Sebastian Roche) injected them with a possible lethal substance. The attorney and little girl, both recovered from previous serious illness, were on the brink of death from the injection. Eventually, they began to recover.
Jerry’s latest plot against Port Charles residents is foreshadowed when it is revealed that the injections were a vaccination. With the assistance of Ewen (Nathin Butler) and Joe Jr., (Richard Steinmetz) Jerry plots to release germ warfare in the city, but the vaccination will save Alexis and Joss. If Jerry does not recover from his deteriorating health condition, he may end up in General Hospital along with his victims, soon.
One relationship dissolves while others evolve.
