It isn’t every day that you hear the lead star of a vastly popular fan-favorite series is being replaced due to filming schedule issues, Usually, the star and the studio figure out a plan to accommodate everyone’s schedules. However, that is not what happened with Henry Cavill and the Netflix series, The Witcher.

Sophistication is a good word to describe James Bond, and Henry Cavill is the literal personification of the word. Therefore, it is not really a brainer that the actor would have been the ideal choice to bring Agent 007 to life after Daniel Craig’s run. However, as things are looking right now, the ship has long sailed and the decision-makers will probably be going with another actor in his prime to play James Bond.
Daniel Craig as James Bond in a still from Spectre
While it seems that the prospect of seeing Henry Cavill as James Bond will not escalate into anything more than a desire, a fan-made trailer has given fans an idea of what it would’ve been like. Henry Cavill can be seen alongside the very talented and drop-dead gorgeous Margot Robbie and the trailer is just further proof why the actor would’ve been perfect for playing the British secret agent.

Henry Cavill is being thrust back into the James Bond casting conversation on social media thanks to a viral fake movie trailer partially created by AI that imagines the former “Superman” actor as 007 and Margot Robbie as his Bond girl. In four days, the AI-generated trailer garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube and further stoked fan interest in Cavill being named the new Bond following Daniel Craig’s departure in 2021’s “No Time to Die.”
As fate would have it, Cavill’s next role is Gus March-Phillipps in Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.” March-Phillipps was a real historical figure who founded the British Army’s No. 62 Commando and who some believe inspired author Ian Fleming to create James Bond. Cavill’s history with 007 dates back to “Casino Royale,” when he auditioned for the role of 007 but lost to Craig.

Brian Cox Calls Joaquin Phoenix’s Performance In Napoleon “Truly Terrible”; Pokes Fun At His Name, “Wackeen… Wacky” (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Succession Star Brian Cox is not one to mince his words. The Veteran Actor, who has played timeless roles, has always made headlines because of his candor. He had feelings about Joaquin Phoenix‘s Napolean portrayal and is letting everyone know. Cox made some shocking revelations and said, “A truly terrible performance by Joaquin Phoenix.” Ouch, but if you think that is harsh, you will be surprised by his statements.
Brian played the role of Media Moghul Logan Roy, the patriarch who puts his kids through a game of hoops and leaps to take over the seat of the media conglomerate in the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series. The actor, the polar opposite of his character, has been known to stir feelings up because of his new statements at a London fest.

Henry Cavill fans can finally see the British actor as James Bond — sorta.
A fake Bond movie trailer “starring” the former Witcher star has been racking up millions of views on YouTube despite being a total fake.
The “Bond 26” trailer introduces Cavill as the new Bond using a mix of footage from other movies and artificial intelligence. The trailer also ambitiously casts Margot Robbie as a Bond girl.
So far, the wannabe trailer has generated 2.3 million viewers, presumably driven by a mix of fans enjoying it as a “what-if” effort, along with some being fooled by it.
“Please note that this video is a concept trailer created solely for artistic and entertainment purposes,” creator KHStudio notes. “I have meticulously incorporated various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements to bring my vision to life. Its purpose is purely artistic, aiming to entertain and engage with the YouTube community.

Most of the controversy surrounding the Oscars this year is on Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie being snubbed for Best Director and Best Actress nominations. However, one film that isn’t getting much attention is a remake of an Oscar-nominated classic – The Color Purple. This remake is a musical, a lovely detail that was hidden from the masses through its marketing campaign. Another key detail is that the remake isn’t based on the Steven Spielberg film. It’s based on the musical, which is closer to the books than the 1985 film. Despite the uphill battle of overcoming the shadow of

Ariana Greenblatt, who appeared opposite Margot Robbie in last year’s Barbie, will be pulling a rabbit out of her hat.
The actress is joining the ensemble cast of Now You See Me 3, Lionsgate’s long-in-the-works installment of its heist caper thrillers.
Many of the original cast — Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco — are expected to return. The original movies also starred Morgan Freeman and Mark Ruffalo, although it’s not clear if those two will return.
Ruben Fleischer is directing the movie, which garnered a mention last week at Lionsgate’s presentation at CinemaCon.
Lionsgate had no comment on the casting, and it’s unclear who wrote the script. Seth Grahame-Smith, the genre scribe behind The Lego Batman Movie and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and Eric Warren have penned drafts over the years.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an impossibly glib, rip-roaring, and exciting action picture. It’s the type of old-fashioned entertainment full of movie stars who get the job done, cracking-wise, and goddamn, they look good doing it. You can’t help but get swept up in the action and think a franchise is born.
It helps to have a cast with this much swashbuckling beefcake, including a Superman, a Reacher, and a G.I. Joe. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a film my wife calls the “Five Hot Guys” movie, with lots of eye candy and bloodshed for everyone involved. In a way, it is the perfect date movie.

With the success of video game adaptations like the iconic The Last of Us and the recently released Prime Video original series Fallout, the upcoming Borderlands film is being expected to continue this trend of excellent adaptation for the fandom of video game culture.

It looks as though director Todd Phillips has officially finished Joker: Folie a Deux, with the MPAA officially granting it an R-rating for “some strong violence, language throughout, some sexuality, and brief full nudity.” On the latter, it looks like Joker is about to show us the full monty, doesn’t it? At any rate, the R-rating isn’t a surprise, as that’s what the first film got, and I imagine a PG-13 sequel would have landed with a thud, as fans expect this to be as hardcore and uncompromising as the original.

For many actors, using grief to their advantage on screen is a well-trod path; however, pretending to be grieving is a whole other story. Method acting has long been seen as a demanding and occasionally contentious way of producing real performances on screen. However, revelations about Aaron Eckhart’s extreme methods to get into character for his role in 2010’s Rabbit Hole have caused a few to gasp and sparked a fresh discussion about the limits of method acting.
The actor attended a support group for parents who had lost their child and even staged his own child’s death in order to prepare for his role. Well, in the past, we’ve heard stories of actors going to great lengths to immerse themselves in their roles, from drastic weight loss to being cut off from the outside world.
But Jared Leto’s tale was nothing short of a nightmare.

The Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, also known as “the Oscars of Science,” is an awards show unlike any other.
Founded and funded by Silicon Valley titan Yuri Milner and his artist wife Julia Milner, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, 23andMe co-founder Anne Wojcicki, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative co-founder Priscilla Chan, the Breakthrough Prize recognizes “scientists changing the world” with award statuettes and sizable cash prizes. And on Saturday night, at the ceremony’s 10th edition — the second in a row held on the roof of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, with the Hollywood Hills glistening in the background — presenters, performers and audience members included a collection of A-listers that could give the Oscars a run for their money.
One could turn left and spot Bill Gates and Robert Downey Jr. sitting at the same table, or right and find tablemates Bradley Cooper and Rupert Murdoch schmoozing.

But this promotion doesn’t seem to be going all too well, for Gosling is still stuck in his Ken-era, and this fact isn’t sitting well with Blunt. Thus, the Oppenheimer actress made it evident that she had more than just enough of her co-star still singing praises of Margot Robbie’s gem from 2023, Barbie while promoting their new movie together!

Known for breaking character and cracking up Saturday Night Live cast members in his previous two hosting stints on the NBC sketch program, Ryan Gosling stayed true to himself tonight, laughing in every skit he was in, much to the delight of the studio audience, and challenging his co-stars to keep a straight face — even seasoned veterans like Kenan Thompson.
The tone was set in the cold open, reuniting Gosling and Kate McKinnon for a third Close Encounters sketch, in which host Gosling could not stop laughing as McKinnon was demonstrating how aliens observed Gosling character’s private parts close and personal during their alleged abduction. She chuckled a few times too, with the rest trying to hide their smiles.
Then came The Engagement skit, in which Gosling played a newly engaged man having serious second thoughts about his decision to propose.

Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” elevated a Mattel-produced toy adaptation into a work of art that drew near-universal acclaim — but extended references to the one most famously difficult writers in modernist literature were still a bridge too far for test audiences.
One of the funniest sequences in the film takes place when Margot Robbie’s eponymous doll meets a group of so-called “Weird Barbies,” many of whom are references to real ill-advised dolls that Mattel produced over the years. Gerwig previously told IndieWire that the scene originally featured a joke about a fake Barbie inspired by Marcel Proust, the French writer whose sprawling epic “In Search of Lost Time” is considered one of the most challenging novels ever written
“I think I got most of them in there,” Gerwig said when asked about alternative Barbies that didn’t make the final cut. “We did have a more extensive thing that...

During its existence, the DC Extended Universe (Dceu) gave rise to some historic blunders. My personal favorite was when Dwayne Johnson simply refused to accept that his "Black Adam" movie wasn't very good, but the ill-fated shared universe has a plethora of greatest hits when it comes to cinematic slip-ups, from the box office disappointment that was "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" to the box office bomb of super-heroic proportions that was "The Flash."
Look, it's extremely difficult to build a shared cinematic universe. Aside from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the only action franchise that's really achieved anything of note in the last few years is the "John Wick" saga, and even that can't hope to match the historic highs of the MCU. So you can't really fault DC and Warner Bros. for failing to establish an enduring cinematic multiverse — though that hasn't stopped David Ayer from trying.

Ryan Gosling singing “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie at the Oscars was a definite highlight of the ceremony, but the actor originally turned down the Academy when he was first asked to perform it.
While speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Gosling revealed that he initially wasn’t down to perform the hit song at the Academy Awards. “One hundred percent no,” Gosling said. “There’s a lot of ways that can go wrong.“
When Gosling finally agreed to do it, he was able to bring his daughters to the rehearsals. “It was their interest in Barbie and their disinterest in Ken that sort of started all of this,” Gosling said. “It’s really been a team effort, and they were on the film and they came to set when I filmed the number, but a lot of this has no context for them. Ryan Gosling visited “The Tonight Show” ahead of his latest hosting stint on “Saturday Night Live” and spoke about his internet-breaking live performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars last month. Asked by host Jimmy Fallon if it was an immediate yes when the Academy called him up to request he perform the “Barbie” original song live during the ceremony, Gosling said his answer was “100% no.”
“There’s a lot of ways that could go wrong,” Gosling said.
But the performance went very right. Gosling, bathed in pink lighting and wearing a sparkling pink suit and pink gloves, started singing “I’m Just Ken” while in the audience sitting behind Margot Robbie. He then made his way to the stage, where he was joined by Mark Ronson and Slash on guitars. His fellow Ken actors Simu Liu, Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa and Kingsley Ben-Adir joined the armada of backup dancers behind Gosling.

The Pill Pounder, one of the key titles in the CV of the iconic flapper, has enjoyed a belated revival at the San Francisco Silent film festival
A century after she first began to turn heads, Clara Bow is “It” once more. The iconic flapper of the silent film era inspired Margot Robbie’s character Nellie in Damien Chazelle’s Hollywood epic Babylon, is namechecked on Taylor Swift’s forthcoming album The Tortured Poets Department, and yesterday at the San Francisco Silent film festival, one of her earliest films was shown for the first time since the days of bathtub gin.
The story of the film’s discovery has already caused excitement online. Film-maker Gary Huggins inadvertently snapped up a slice of lost silent film history at an auction in a car park in Omaha, Nebraska, that was selling old stock from a distribution company called Modern Sound Pictures. Hoping...

Even as he collected his martini, the burly stranger who introduced himself as “Joe” exuded an aura of belligerence. We were standing on the fringe of a post-screening reception, so, hand extended, I blurted, “Did the movie work for you?”
“It was blah,” he replied. “Given what they spent for the script, they should have made a powerful f*ckin’ movie.”
At the time I didn‘t realize I was talking with Joe Eszterhas, who had made $4 million from sale of his script — more an auction than a sale and hardly “blah.” Joe and several estimable writing colleagues were participants in what came to be known in the mid-‘80s as the “Writers Rebellion,” a moment when top screenwriters decided to reinvent what they considered a broken system for propagating their creative product.
The rebellion was not as momentous as, say, the French Revolution, but its drama and rhetoric for...

A new film from Damien Chazelle is officially in the works as his follow-up to the ambitious and costly Old Hollywood epic “Babylon.”
Chazelle will make his follow-up to “Babylon” with the same studio that released that film, Paramount Pictures. Chazelle will direct, write, and produce the for-now-untitled film that was announced at CinemaCon on Thursday morning. The untitled film will be his sixth feature.

Paramount Pictures will back Damien Chazelle’s next feature film.
The collaboration reunites the director with the studio behind his most recent movie, 2022’s “Babylon,” a debauched and drug-fueled ode to the golden age of showbiz. Despite its grand ambitions and starry cast of Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, “Babylon” became an epic box office disaster with just $63 million worldwide against its $80 million budget (not including the pricey marketing campaign).
Paramount announced Chazelle’s new movie as part of its presentation at CinemaCon, the annual gathering of movie theater owners that’s currently taking place in Las Vegas. The studio didn’t share a single detail — not the genre, cast, plot or release timeline — about Chazelle’s new film. Of course, Paramount didn’t reveal the budget either, although Chazelle presumably won’t get the same blank check to fund the upcoming movie.

Not so long ago, we reported that a live-action movie based on the popular video game series The Sims is in the work and that Margot Robbie will be producing (and possibly starring?) the movie via her LuckyChap production company, along with her partners Tom Ackerley and Josie McNamara. After starring in Barbie, Robbie has been involved with other game/toy-related productions and news has broken today that another live-action adaptation is in the works, this one based on the popular board game Monopoly.
It has been confirmed that Robbie’s LuckyChap is attached to produce a live-action adaptation of the popular board game, but no specifics have been given as of the time of writing, so we don’t have any precise details to tell you at this point, but the news itself has been confirmed.

The long-in-gestation Monopoly movie rolls a double six, as Margot Robbie and her production company join the project.
I was writing news over at another website when Hollywood powerful people first started talking about bringing the board game Monopoly to the big screen. Ridley Scott, if memory serves, was circling the project at one point, but back then, it all came to nothing.
Then the Barbie movie happened. Taking the Mattel dolls as its source, the film was a gigantic success which had Hollywood scrambling around toy shop aisles for more inspiration.
That’s when Monopoly was re-discovered. Lionsgate picked up the project when it acquired Entertainment One at the end of last year from Hasbro. It’s extended the rights since too, and now it’s gone to Margot Robbie’s production company LuckyChap for a bit of help.

Could a little of Barbie's girl power help Lionsgate finally crack the Monopoly movie adaptation out of the development limbo it's been stuck in for seemingly eons? The studio is certainly hoping so, hatching a deal with Margot Robbie and her LuckyChap team to produce the film.
Monopoly might not sound like the sort of game naturally that lends itself to a movie — you know, since it doesn't really have a narrative beyond trying to be incredibly careful with your cash and being the best a capitalism to defeat your opponents, but then Greta Gerwig spun gold out of Barbie for Warners.
Lionsgate didn't confirm who, if anyone is attached to actually make the film, but this is one that has been floating around for years, with Ridley Scott most famously looking to put together a take for 20th Century Fox in the years before it was swallowed by Disney.

Eighty-nine years ago, Hasbro’s Monopoly began dividing families, ending friendships, and creating chaos as players argued and haggled for properties that would boost their income and drive others to bankruptcy. Monopoly is the most popular board game in history in more than 100 countries, with countless themed versions in addition to the original. During a round of Monopoly, players pick from a collection of pieces, from a Top Hat to a Scottish Terrier, a Classic Car, an Iron, the mighty Thimble, and others, to travel around a board while buying up properties. If a rival player lands on an owned space, they must pay rent or risk a verbal battle with the land owner.
