As the first televised awards show of 2023, expectations were high for Tuesday night’s Golden Globes — not only for who would take home the trophies and how the broadcast might fare after last year’s absence, but also how style might play a role on the red carpet, especially as it was predicted that rain might dampen the festivities at the Beverly Hilton. The verdict? The skies stayed clear, and Globes fashion is back with a splash.
The ladies of Hollywood embraced both colors and metallics in gowns trimmed with romantic beading and ruffles, while the industry’s leading men wore beautifully fitted tuxes trimmed with unique details. Among the night’s trends: gowns in pink, a sign that Barbiecore continues its dominance, and at the opposite end of the spectrum, a wealth of gowns in dramatic black. Here are some of the night’s best looks:

“Graduation is a big achievement under any circumstances, yours comes as the world is turned upside down,” Barack Obama said today in his latest remote commencement speech to the graduates of 2020. “By a global pandemic and by a country that has been swept up by protests,” the incredibly popular former President added of both the devastating coronavirus and the wide spread reaction on the streets to the killing of George Floyd by police late last month.
“I can barely imagine how head-spinning these last few months have been for you,” an obviously mindful of the moment Obama told those watching YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 event online, and asked them to embrace values “like responsibility, fairness, generosity, and respect for others so that they can be “part of the solution instead of part of the problem.”
As in previous public statements of late, Obama never said the name Donald Trump,...

It was last November when we first heard about the new indie film Cornered from Busted Knuckle Productions, and now that it's nearing its July, 2010 completion date, we've received a new batch of stills and an update on the flick.
Most recently Busted Knuckle's Hunter G. Williams (the writer of the screenplay) and Taylor Chien (the director) have added Heather McComb, Scott Michael Campbell, and Anya Benton to the cast of Cornered, which also includes the versatile Williams as Detective Brant and Ricky Onsgard as the big bad he's gunning for. The anticipated release date is first quarter 2011.
Synopsis:
This is the Stranger’s (Ricky Onsgard) game: All exits are rigged with explosives, and there is only one way out for young, imprisoned, and very innocent Janette (Heather McComb). A serial killer who will stop at nothing to satisfy his bloodlust, the Stranger provides clues for Janette to find the...

A trailer for Cornered will be available shortly, but for now several movie stills of the villain aka the Stranger (Ricky Onsgard) are available for show. Capturing the mystery of the antagonist in these three stills Cornered manages to pique one's darker curiosities. The film involves an ex-military vet who wants to play a game with some innocent people who just want to get out of his trap alive! Not for the faint of heart Cornered will finalize production in early 2010 with distribution likely to follow shortly after that. For now revisit the synopsis from the film and have a look at two more stills of the Stranger until the trailer comes this way in the next little while.
