Like many low budget action films, there is a constant, uneasy tension between ambition and what is possible. Hustle Down is aiming to be a Michael Mann thriller, but the constraints constantly degrade the experience. Whether it is low budget cameras, direction, or uneven acting.
An almost unrecognisable Tom Sizemore (with dyed black hair and looking elderly) is running around (and gosh is it a sad sight) in a cheap shirt, avoiding cartel hitmen.
I barely recognise the wispy voice of Tom Sizemore here, nor his ghoulish countenance and I certainly don’t recognise his ripe acting. He was one of my favourite actors for a long time, and it is so sad to...

"There are no good people in there - no saints, only sinners." Lionsgate has released an official trailer for an action thriller titled Seized, the latest from B-movie action filmmaker Isaac Florentine (who also made Acts of Vengeance with Adkins). Mma action star Scott Adkins plays a former Special Forces agent whose son is kidnapped and must now wipe out three dangerous crime syndicates if he wants to see him alive again. Adkins has been starring in endless action movies recently, none of them worth watching, but he still keeps making them - he's also in Debt Collectors and Legacy of Lies this year. Seized also features Mario Van Peebles with a killer cowboy hat, Steven Elder, Karlee Perez, James P. Bennett, David Fernandez Jr., Luis Gatica, and Mauricio Mendoza. Another day, another mindless bland action movie to ignore. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Isaac Florentine's Seized, direct from...

New Paranormal Activity 5 movie delivered weird thrills, crazy ending & more. Paramount Pictures released their new horror/thriller flick, "Paranormal Activity 5: The Marked Ones" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it, and thought it was pretty entertaining for the most part. It stars: Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens, and Frank Salinas. In the new flick, the storyline picked up in June 2012 with a major party going down in Oxnard, California. From there, the film revolved around new character, Jesse, and his friends in a Latino community. The storyline was kind of slow at first. However, things quickly picked up after Jesse discovers he's gotten a strange bite mark on his wrist. From there, he's able to start doing amazing things like defy the laws of gravity, throw people across the room with little effort, blow up an...

Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is doing some things right with its ad campaign. The trailer is intriguing (in my opinion, at least) and the poster, which dropped last week, is effective.
An international campaign for the film has yielded an animated version of the one-sheet. You can watch the video inside.
Written and directed by Christopher Landon, the film stars Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens and Frank Salinas in this spin-off of the Paranormal Activity series opening January 3rd.

New Paranormal Activity 5,The Marked Ones first movie trailer hit the net today. Earlier today, Paramount Pictures dropped the very first movie trailer (below) for their upcoming "Paranormal Activity 5: The Marked Ones" horror, thriller flick, and it looks pretty freaky and odd as they take the thrills to the Latino community in Oxnard,California. Some guy, named Jesse will start to get possessed by the same entity that possessed Katy and the others. It also features a ton of new, very violent and spooky scenes. They're definitely getting creative with the franchise. Check it out, below. The movie stars: Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens, and Frank Salinas. No official synopsis has been released yet. It's scheduled to hit theaters on January 3rd,2014.
