A struggling actor, a naive small-town girl, and a plot so topsy-turvy it will make your head spin. But that’s not all the things that make Tiku Weds Sheru incredibly bad. There are so many issues with Sai Kabir’s film that one can fill pages detailing those. Starring Nawazuddin Siddique and Avneet Kaur in the prominent roles, the film builds around the struggles of surviving in the city of dreams, Mumbai, while making us believe in the power of love and selflessness.
Tiku Weds Sheru follows Shiraz Khan Afghani, aka Sheru, a junior artist in the film industry who has to get his hands dirty by being a pimp in the escort service to make ends meet. Tiku, on the other hand, is intoxicated by the glamor of the film industry and wants to leave her family as soon as possible. An arranged marriage soon follows, but the...

The trailer of the upcoming romantic comedy drama ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in lead roles was unveiled on Wednesday. The trailer showcases the story of two aspiring actors who get married. As per the trailer, the movie looks rather like a mix of a Bollywood rom-com with black comedy, having a bit of a similarity to ‘Delhi Belly’.
Somewhat satirical in nature, the movie is also well produced with great lighting and sound design. The dialogues in the trailer are also lighthearted, and the one which sticks out most is, “Big risk, big life. No risk, no life”, said by Nawaz.
The movie, while having a solid story, does not seem to take itself too seriously with the actors clearly having a good time.
The official synopsis of the movie reads: “Sheru and Tiku are marginalised souls from the underprivileged strata of society. They are ambitious for a better life,...

While fans eagerly waited to see the chemistry of the unconventional on screen couple of Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan on the big screen, they may have to wait for some more time. Divine Lovers, a rom-com that was supposed to star the two actors, now has a new leading lady. Zareen Khan has been roped in to fill in the shoes of Kangna Ranaut. Asserting about the changes, director of the film Sai Kabir revealed that though he shares a sibling sort of bond with Kangna, the two couldn't come together for the film owing to date issues of the actress. On the other hand, Sai Kabir is satisfied with Zareen Khan coming to the rescue as he feels that she fits the bill of a Pathani character to the hilt. He also added that Zareen Khan will undergo two months of training with Irrfan supervising the same. Divine...

After the disastrous Humshakals, it seems that Saif Ali Khan has now started to play safe as far as his films and onscreen characters are concerned. The film which he has reportedly signed now is called Mr. Chaalu, wherein he plays a manipulative womanizer. While the film is being produced by Excel Entertainment, it is being directed by Reema Kagti. If the reports are to be believed, then, Saif's character in the film is penciled on the lines of what he had earlier played in films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Dil Chahta Hai, and Salaam Namaste. His character is that of a smoothoperator, who, with the help of his impeccable charms, weaves his way into a woman's heart with the promise of marrying her, only to dupe her later. The startling female hero of Revolver Rani (Rr) has been warmly received by critics. And Kangna Ranaut is all set to do another film with the Rr director Sai Kabir. Says Sai Kabir, "Yes I'm doing a film called Divine Lovers with Kangna and Irrfan in the lead. It would be a complete contrast to Revolver Rani. It won't be loud, aggressive, violent and splashy like Rr. But again Divine Lovers would be about the Great Indian Dream." Divine Lovers would be set in Mumbai and Aligarh. Reveals Sai, "It'd be set in the lower middleclass and it would be also about the moral corruption of the middleclass." Also on the anvil is the sequel to Revolver Rani. "I want to build my hero Alka Singh as a franchise. She'll be my toy to tell many stories. I want her to do many things in the future including fight America and revive the Soviet Union.

Kangna Ranaut may be currently riding high on the success of her recently released film Queen, however the actress hasn't let the merry making hamper the progress of her next film Revolver Rani. Though the film is still in progress, the makers have decided on making a change in the film. Apparently, director Sai Kabir has decided on changing the name of Kangna's character in the film from Alka Gujjar to Alka Singh. The reason behind this change is said to be the current election fever that has gripped the nation. It is learnt that the makers don't want to cause any trouble, and neither want to offend the Gujjar community. Besides this, since the film is a political one, akin to a tamasha, it also speaks about the sick practices of the society. Apart from the name change, the makers have also muted foul language in the film. With these change coming in now,...

Mumbai, Feb 6: Kangna Ranaut's next, a female-centric film with a quirky title -- "Revolver Rani", will go on the floors next month.
Directed by Sai Kabir, the film is being co-produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Rahul Mittra.
According to Mittra, "It's a great title and a good story".
"As a subject, both I and Tigmasnhu were convinced about it. Title justifies the story. The shooting of the film will begin from March. Kangna is all excited to get into that space," he told Ians.
"Since it's a female-oriented film, Kangna is there and other casting is happening. We should be locking the rest of the cast within.
