Tessa Farrell is an award-winning actress, director, screenwriter and the world record setting film auteur inventor. Tessa was born in Scottsdale, Arizona to Catherine McGinley, a real estate agent in Austin, Texas, and Scott Farrell, a novelist under the pen name Scott Falcon. Tessa has one younger sister, Kelsey, and two younger brothers, Ryan and Shane. Tessa is mainly European with small traces of Native American, African and Asian ancestry.
Tessa, raised by her mother and stepfather, Patrick McGinley, had a relatively normal childhood attending public schools in Arizona, Florida and Texas were she excelled in soccer, dance, choir and yearbook. After graduating in the top of her class at Stony Point High School and the film school at The University of Texas, Tessa moved to Los Angeles to pursue her true love for movies. Shortly after arriving in Hollywood, Tessa landed a recurring appearance on Entourage (2004) as a supermodel, played principal characters in mainstream commercials for companies like Dish Network, Nike, Apple and Dodge, and was scouted by retired film actor, Ty Grandson Jones, during one of her jogs along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ty immediately cast Tessa as the lead in his action film Diamond were her performance as Diamond earned her a nomination for Best Female Action Performer of the Year in the International Action on Film Festival.
While beginning to audition for film and TV roles, Tessa developed interests in psychology, sociology, spirituality and global culture that quickly evolved into her mission to make a difference in the world and become a creator of groundbreaking film content in addition to being an on-screen performer. After Tessa stepped away from the audition room to screenwrite compelling characters for herself, she discovered a burning desire to do something in film that's never been done before, inspiring her to create one of the first movies ever shot on the iPhone that's rough cut set several world records and earned her 18 award wins and nominations. Tessa's currently entering bidding wars for the film's world premiere rights with additional production on an expanded budget and production rights for several original spec scripts.
