As Ron Burgundy once taught us, there’s only one thing a man can do when he’s suffering from a spiritual and existential funk — and no, Champ, it’s not go to the zoo and flip off the monkeys — it’s buy new “Suits.”
That’s what Universal, funk or no funk, is doing.
A new “Suits” series, described to IndieWire as an “expansion” of the “Suits” world, is in development at UCP. “Suits” creator Aaron Korsh is the lead writer on the project, and several original EPs are likely to return. There is no pilot yet, we’re told, though this version will focus on new characters and likely take place in Los Angeles. (Think of “Suits” as “CSI” and New “Suits” as “CSI: Miami.”) Like the Og series, it’ll be a legal-based workplace drama/procedural.

Jamie Foxx seems to finally be on the mend, with him posting a video on Instagram that – for the first time – addresses the health challenge that sidelined him for months. You can see the video below, but Foxx, while not getting into specifics, says he went to “hell and back”, but also throws cold water on some of the rumors, notably that he went blind and became paralyzed. “Now, you know, by being quiet sometimes things get out of hand. People saying what I got, some people said I was blind, but as you can see … the eyes are working just fine. Said I’m paralyzed — I’m not paralyzed.” Foxx also thanked his family and doctors for not only supporting him, but also allowing him privacy from the media as he fought to regain his health. Check out the video here:

‘They Cloned Tyrone‘ is directed by Juel Taylor and stars John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx.
This comedy blends absurd humor and government conspiracies, relying heavily on the charisma of its main trio.
And you know what? They deliver, especially Jamie Foxx.
Plot
A drug dealer, a pimp, and a prostitute stumble upon a government conspiracy to manipulate social behavior.
Movie Review
A tribute to 70s cinema in the purest “Pulp” style. This movie could have easily become a forgettable parody, but instead, it asserts its worth through visual elements.
They Cloned Tyrone
No, it’s not “art-house cinema” nor a film for niche audiences. It’s a highly entertaining comedy with extravagant dialogues that, through surrealism and farcical situations, reflects on more serious matters while maintaining a comedic tone without delving into social criticism.

‘They Cloned Tyrone’ Review: John Boyega, Teyonah Parris & Jamie Foxx In Grim But Gutsy Genre Mashup
Rather resembling a blaxploitation-based cousin of Invasion of the Body Snatchers with a deeper sense of social consciousness, They Cloned Tyrone is a predominately grim yet intriguing account of constrained, little-hope lives victimized even further by nefarious secret attempts to transform them into obedient, well-behaved zombies. Set in what appears to be the late ‘60s-early ‘70s based on the period cars, outfits and outlandish hairstyles, Juel Taylor’s feature directorial debut, which he wrote with Tony Rettenmaier, delivers live-wire performances from the young cast but nonetheless remains notably dire, even forlorn in its depiction of small-town lives momentarily confronted with a bizarre enemy found right in their midst. This Netflix offering opens theatrically July 14 for a week prior to its move to home tubes July 21.

"Somebody is conducting experiments on us!!" Netflix has revealed a grainy teaser trailer for a film titled They Cloned Tyrone, directed by writer / filmmaker / sound editor Juel Taylor. This is another first look revealed during their #Tudum promo event. A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio onto the trail of a nefarious government experiment in this pulpy sci-fi mystery caper. The three investigate strange happenings, sending them deep into a nefarious conspiracy lurking directly beneath their own hood. In addition to Boyega, Parris and Foxx, who all look hilarious in this, the cast also features J. Alphonse Nicholson, David Alan Grier, Joshua Mikel, and Tamberla Perry. Where did this come from?! It looks rad!! Like a fun '70s throwback Black Dynamite-esque film mashed up with a pulpy sci-fi mystery about a government agency that's cloning people? It also reminds me of Boots Riley's brilliant Sorry to Bother You.

“I’m retiring,” announces Delroy Lindo’s attorney Adrian Boseman at the beginning of the terrific Season 5 premiere of “The Good Fight.” The revelation shocks Adrian’s colleagues, but fans of the Paramount+ series knew that Lindo had planned to depart the show at the end of the fourth season, an exit that was delayed due to the pandemic production shutdown. In his final appearance, though, Lindo brings his beloved character closure by delivering one of his best performances on the series.
The episode “Previously On…” covers a year in the life of the “Good Fight” characters as they respond to the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic through President Joe Biden’s election and the Jan. 6 insurrection. With 2024 already on the minds of the Democratic party, Adrian decides to leave the law to pursue a presidential bid. Teaming up with political operative Ruth Eastman (recurring guest Margo Martindale), Adrian plans...

This The Good Lord Bird review contains spoilers.
The Good Lord Bird Episode 3
It’s right there in the title. This week’s episode is all about Mister Fred—including how you must remember to call him Mr. Douglass at first meetings. His rather puffy reaction to “Fred” likely took some viewers off guard, but imagine if Onion had called him what he was taught by Old John Brown: Frederick Douglass, the King of the Negroes.
Indeed, it is with that lofty title that Daveed Diggs’ swaggering and delightfully subversive interpretation of Fred is introduced. When we meet him, the energy Diggs projects is decidedly more virile than the typical Ken Burns pop culture image. In his first scene, Douglass is delivering one of his most famous speeches: “What to the slave is the Fourth of July?” Yet as presented in The Good Lord Bird, this is less the revelatory...

Delroy Lindo delivered one of the most acclaimed film performances of the year thus far as Trump-supporting, Vietnam-War veteran Paul in Spike Lee‘s latest joint “Da 5 Bloods,” but he’s on the Emmy ballot this month for a role on the opposite end of the political spectrum. For four seasons, Lindo has starred on the celebrated CBS All Access drama “The Good Fight” as liberal attorney Adrian Boseman, a named partner of a firm that built its reputation on civil rights activism and fighting police brutality.
Lindo’s role on “The Good Fight” earned him two consecutive Critics’ Choice Award nominations, but the veteran actor has yet to break through at the Emmys. Might the near-perfect timing of his significant Oscar buzz for “Da 5 Bloods” just one month before Emmy nominations voting boost Lindo’s prospects for an overdue, richly-deserved bid for “The Good Fight”?
