- Marie-Louise Wilderijckx was born on November 28, 1941 in Antwerp, Flanders, Belgium. She is an actress, known for Girl (2018), Hocus focus (1963) and Rip van Winckle (1973).
- The Antwerp ballerina danced around the world, although the Ballet of Flanders never completely disappeared from her field of vision. "The very first meeting with Jeanne Brabants and her sister Jos took place in Studio 6 at Flagey," Wilderijckx says. "At the BRT, then VRT, they asked artists to perform for the screen. I was eleven at the time".
- As a guest teacher, she taught in different dance companies and during dance summer schools home and abroad.
- She danced in influential companies such as Koninklijke Vlaamse Opera, Kirov Theatre (Leningrad), Opera Gent, Opera Graz, Koninklijk Ballet van Vlaanderen, les ballets C de la B and De Munt (Brussels).
- Wilderijckx was trained by A. van der Beele and at the Ballet School of the Royal Flemish Opera in Antwerp, where she became a soloist in 1955.
- In the early 1950s, Jeanne Brabants became her teacher at the ballet school at the Oever (Antwerp). There she ran the official school to be admitted as a dancer in the opera. Jeanne gave almost all the lessons there herself. She introduced the Laban technique, taught improvisation and encouraged dancers to create their own choreographies: this was unheard of in Flanders.
