Once he’s done and dusted with his new movie, Silence, director Martin Scorsese may jump aboard the planned biopic of George Washington.
Entitled The General, the movie had previously been set up in 2012 with Darren Aronofsky set to produce and direct. The project back then was described as “an Unforgiven-like tale”, that told the story of Washington leading his battered army against mercenaries during the Revolutionary War.
Darren Aronofsky eventually left the project, and it does appear to be Scorsese’s for the taking.
On the flip side, he’s got other projects he’s juggling, including a reunion with Robert De Niro in The Irishman, and The Devil In The White City, that would see him reteam with Leonardo DiCaprio again. It sounds like he just...
