The Crown over on Netflix has been a huge success both critically and with the fans – it has even picked up a slew of awards, including a Golden Globe earlier this year for actress Claire Foy, who plays the young Queen Elizabeth. While the series got a bit of a snub at this weekend’s BAFTA TV Awards in London, it looks like Foy may be make a jump to film for her next role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Foy may assume the role made famous by Noomi Rapace and Rooney Mara – the ‘Girl’ known as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl In The Spider’s Web.
Sony Pictures are planning an adaptation of the David Lagercrantz book of the same name which Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead helmer Fede Alvarez is attached to direct. Apparently Foy has an official offer but there may be some dreaded ‘Scheduling Conflicts’ to deal with.
