An update on the status of an Enchanted sequel has arisen from the depths of the film’s development from the film’s director, Adam Shankman, revealing that the project is finally moving along.
The follow-up, which has been in development since 2010, will be titled Disenchanted and will follow Giselle – which sees Amy Adams reprise her role – 10 years after the original. Set in New York, Giselle may be rethinking her love of the real world.
Whilst on the Television Critics panel for Step Up: High Water, the YouTube Red series he is producing based on the Step Up films, Shankman divulged the information of where the production stands at this point and what we can expect to see if the final script is greenlit.
“We are handing in a script in a couple weeks that I’m super happy with,” Shankman said, “Then gotta get the music written.
