Classics With Zero Accolades
All these movies are classics that, throughout the years, gained in popularity and cinematic stature. Today, on IMDb, they're rated at least 7.5 with more than 10.000 votes. Yet, at the time of their release, even a delayed time, these movies were strangely overlooked by the Oscars or any other festival or critics' circle or journalists' association. In other words, these movies were nominated for nothing. For which of these classics, do you find the absence of nominations the most surprising, if not unbelievable? After voting, you might discuss the list here (of course, these movies became so popular they were later selected to National Film Registry and were nominated for some DVD-related awards, needless to say that these nominations don't count)

Favorite Dustin Hoffman Movie
He 'graduated' in 1967, dustin' off Hollywood's leading man standards. In 1969, he was 'walking here' and in 1976, he was actually running. Whether "Rain", "Marathon" "Little Big" or one "of the President's", Dustin Hoff... was the MAN (though in 1982, he admitted he was a better man with a woman, as a woman... than he ever was as a man). And on the 8th day of the 8th month, beloved star and iconic method actor Dustin Hoffman celebrated his 80th birthday. On this occasion, or celebrating the 50th anniversary of his breakthrough role, or the 20th anniversary of his last Oscar-nominated performance, let's have a look at his leading, co-leading or scene-stealing supporting roles in movies. Which of these movies starring Dustin Hoffman is your personal favorite? Mr. Voter, you're trying to make a choice. Aren't you? Well, once you're done, you're discussing here, you're discussing here!

Best American Remake of a Non-English Movie
An American remake of a great foreign language film into an English version makes a lot of sense. Sharing a great story with as wide an audience as possible is always a good idea. These remakes are often done with the full resources of Hollywood with bigger stars and larger budgets. Despite this, these adaptations face the same issues that most sequels and remakes have when compared to the original. Which of these select American remakes* is by comparison the most worthy of the foreign non-English language original? * IMDb rated 6.0+ (as of July 2017) Take the companion poll: Worst American Remake Non-English Movie Discuss the topic here.
