Favorite Movie Stoner Duo Portrayal

The date 4/20 is celebrated by marijuana smokers in the United States and around the globe as Weed Day. It serves as an appropriate time to appreciate the stoner film subgenre, its evolution and the influence of its movies throughout filmdom. The film group even has its own genre-specific awards that were created by the magazine, High Times, called the Stony Awards. The "Stonys" celebrate notable stoner films and television, recognize individual performances and lifetime achievement, with winners receiving a bong-shaped trophy. The most common shared element within the subgenre is the marijuana theme, where recreational use often drives the plot. While stoner crossover films exist, many stoner movies tend to be comedic in nature. These stoner comedies involve protagonists who have marijuana, are attempting to find marijuana, or have some other weed-related task to complete. Often, the main protagonists are two friends and the plot is a variation on the traditional buddy film with a weed-influenced spin. Which of these select depicted or implied movie stoner duos is your favorite pairing*? * single film installment or an entire movie franchise portrayal Discuss the topic here.

Titanic Face-Off: Could Rose Save Jack?

More than a quarter century after its debut, Titanic (1997) seems to have not lost any of its shine. Its fans remain almost as passionate about the film as they where when they first saw it and it still remains among the most popular films in history. Titanic fanatics' passion for the film is never more on display than when discussing the film's climatic ending: when Jack sacrifices himself to save Rose, by letting her stay afloat on a door alone, while he remained sunken in the waters of the North Atlantic, until he froze to death. For years, some Titanic fans have argued it was possible that both could have survived, if only they both had used the door more equally, that Rose could have done more to save Jack, or that Jack's sacrifice was ultimately necessary. It is time to settle this once and for all: in your opinion, could Rose have saved Jack in Titanic? Discuss Here Poll by Pencho15
