Vertigo is a sub-publisher of DC Comics founded in 1993 that published works containing explicit content meant for mature readers. Up to 2015, 9 of their comics have been made into movies and T.V. series, and there has been talk of more upcoming series adaptions like Lucifer, Preacher, and maybe even Neil Gainman's "The Sandman."
