Most Defining Movie of the 2010s
Social networks, artificial intelligence, millennials, girl-power, LGBT, geopolitics... many 2010s movies encapsulate the turmoil of the tumultuous decade that is coming to its end, and perhaps the exhilarating state of being part of events of historical significance (in the long run). Other movies might deal with more trivial matters but while they're not as culturally significant, they're indicative of some trends that defined the film-making industry during the 2010s. This is a list of movies which, for various reasons, can be considered representative of that decade, which one would say most (or best) defines it? After voting, you might discuss the list here
Post-Apocalyptic Movies
The Lunar eclipse on July 27, 2018 will be the longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century. Also, Planet Mars will be the closest it has to Earth in 15 years on the same night. Christian conspiracy theorists and doomsday preachers said that the moon will take on a deep red hue during a total lunar eclipse, an event supposedly foretold by the Bible and claims about the coincidence as the start of an apocalyptic era. “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." Matthew 24:36 Which of these movies that are set in post-apocalyptic time is your favorite? Get ready here

As a result of its hundred-year effort, the WB movie catalog currently includes a whopping 12,500+ feature films. Top 250 Films With Women in the Lead
Every March, many people throughout the world celebrate Women's History Month. Women's history in cinema has been mixed: while it has often been a force for positive change, women have been underrepresented both behind and in front of the camera. For example, for decades women have filled less than one third of speaking roles and represent less than one third of named characters in movies. The movies below, however, have propelled our culture forward by featuring female leads. Below are the movies from IMDb's Top 250 (as of March, 2023) in which women or girls are the leads. Instead of choosing your favorite movie, which film boasts the strongest female lead? After voting, feel free to discuss here. Vote in other polls for Women's History Month here: "I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar," Oscar Best Picture Nominees and Women, Thatta Girl, Who Said Women Aren't Funny?, and Movies for Women's History Month: An International Collection.

The Hollywood Tentpole (2005-2015)
In past decade as Hollywood tentpole* films have been over-prevalent, which of these tentpole projects BEST shows that Hollywood can still put out high quality material with originality** and intelligence? Suggestions welcome at Poll Suggestion Thread! *A tentpole film is a high-budget feature film by a major studio (WB, Fox, Sony, Universal, Disney) meant to ensure high box office profits with mass promotion, wide international release on a single date or in a close period with possible 3D, Thursday showings and trilogy/franchise screenings. **Originality is not restricted to being an "original film." Originality can mean aspects of story, craft and cinematic significance. Remember, Stanley Kubrick is considered one of the most original filmmakers of all time and every single one of his classic films is an adaptation of a novel. Note: The criteria for the selected films beyond "tentpole" definition is that the critical and audience consensus be at least fairly positive in the IMDb, audience, fanbase and critical communities as a general consensus. My personal feelings about any of these films are NOT a factor.
