The period that ran roughly between 1948 and 1959 is referred to by many historians and scholars of the medium as the “Golden Age” of television. When they don't have a catchphrase of their own, some characters happen to inspire them. Indeed, a "phrase catcher" is someone whose sole presence is enough to inspire the same (or almost the same) verbal reaction among a various group of people.
