Albert Azaryan was 14 years old when his father died and he had to help his mother. He began working in a forge. Only at the age of seventeen he began to practice gymnastics. In 1956 he graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Physical Culture. Azaryan was the strongest gymnast of his time in ring exercises. Since the mid-fifties, the 'cross' that Azaryan performed has been called the 'Azaryan Cross'. It was first performed in 1953 in Leningrad.
After finishing his sports career, he headed a gymnastics school in Yerevan, and also was involved in refereeing international competitions; in the mid-70s he worked under a contract in the Netherlands. Erling Johansson born 1934, at Sarisvaara, Lappland, is a Swedish painter, sculptor and filmmaker. He was born in the far North and brought up in a Laestadian family. In this small settler village it was forbidden to paint, sing, listen to music. Erling Johansson eventually entered the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, was praised among colleagues and received public decorations, alternated with major international exhibitions. His art consists of portraits where he divides the people's energy fields into colorful facets as well as monumental art.
