This film is part of a collection of silent comedies from Alpha Video. Unfortunately, like most of the early films released by Alpha, the quality of the print is VERY suspect. It appears to be highly degraded but if you can ignore this you'll see that the film is quite kooky and fun.
Billy Bevan and Andy Clyde are hobos who happen upon a train and are hired as cooks. What follows are some amazingly silly gags that will annoy the extremely sophisticated...though they are funny. Seeing Bevan going fishing from the train and its aftermath is a great example--not at all sophisticated but hilarious. The same can be said for the very silly sight gag at the end. I could say more but it would spoil the fun--it's a film you just need to see for yourself. Clever and fun.
