This movie, made in the first few years after the silent film era, is a well-done drama about a woman getting revenge on her boyfriend's policeman dad after she gets fed up with him for stopping her for speeding. Yes, going 50 mph down the highway is a very reprehensible behavior. Any road, she is soon harassed by gangsters and her boyfriend is helpless in his attempts to stop the gangsters, and then his dad comes to the rescue. Hooray, the day is saved and the woman doesn't have to break up with her beau after all. Good film.
I hope the maker of the 1998 film (and subsequent series) was unaware this film existed before using its title.
