Public opinion outweighs the decision of the jury in this B action drama about the goings on in a login camp where an accidental death leads to revenge against the man wrongly accused of murder. A fight between Charles Bickford and Gordon Oliver results in a truce, but because the fight is on everybody's mind, suspicions of wrongdoing take over sensibilities when a tragedy occurs.

Both men are in love with the pretty Jeann Parker, and she has chosen all of her. I didn't believe for a second that she didn't already know that Bickford was in love with her, and it seems strange that everybody would turn against him when the judge distinctively declared him innocent before the jury began to deliberate.

Still, this is an above average B picture, including lots of great login sequences and a forest fire finale that is quite intense. The good supporting cast includes western villain Al Bridge as a good guy for a change and Ann Shoemaker as the tough surrogate mom of the loggers. Pretty well done for a programmer, very fast moving, and never stopping in its tracks for nonsense that doesn't concern the plot.
