A wheelchair-bound photographer spies on his neighbours from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.
Because all but a few scenes are actually shot from inside Jeff's apartment, Alfred Hitchcock remained in that part of the set, communicating with his actors across the way via short wave radio broadcast to their flesh-coloured earpieces.
