Cara Williams, the nearest thing to Lucille Ball we have around, is playing it safe with both movies and TV. She made a deal with CBS for a new series next fall [she'll be a partner]; and a five-picture contract with Columbia. The first film is "The Man from the Diner's Club," in which she plays an ex-stripper with a heart of gold named Sugar Pye, and Danny Kaye will be a Diner's club clerk who gets involved with the hoods. . . .
