When Sir James and Peter are watching Alice's grave, they have to leave to help the vicar who has been attacked. The squire and his men open the grave and reveal Alice's corpse but are disturbed when Sir James and Peter return. As the two watch she transforms into a zombie and crawls out of her grave. But when they arrived back in the cemetery and found the open grave we see Alice for an instant in her coffin and she is already in zombie make up, even though this is before the transformation.
After Squire Clive Hamilton catches Sylvia's blood in the glass, he transfers it to a vial. When he does so, it is revealed just how much blood was in the cup. However, there's no way that that much blood could have possibly come from a small wound on her finger.
Immediately after Denver is struck down during the struggle with Sir Forbes, he lands face down with his left arm inside the fireplace and his left arm catches on fire, but in the next shot he is facing up, and it's his right arm that is on fire.
When Sylvia is putting away her clothes, she reaches in to hang her blouse and the camera cuts to Alice. The camera cuts back to Sylvia, who reaches in again and hangs her blouse.
At 1:20, when Sir John is hiding in Hamilton's study, he blows out the candle to make the room darker, but the close up of his face as he crouches behind the desk shows it to still be lit by a bright, warm light. However, in the next long shot of him, he is in shadows again.
In the waning moments of the film, a man can be seen whipping the zombies in the mines in order to get them to work faster. During several of his lashes, his whip strikes some of the beams supporting the mine and they wiggle dramatically. This indicates that the beams were not only incapable of supporting the mine, but were also not the sturdy wood they appear to be.
As Sir John is trapped in Hamilton's study after the fire breaks out, the flames engulf the study at far too rapid a pace and furnishings in the foreground begin burning inexplicably. Additionally, the room would be filled with smoke by the time but the smoke is being vented upwards as if there was no ceiling there.
The zombies obviously don't feel pain (since they're dead), even when they're on fire. Therefore, there is little point in Hamilton's men whipping them to work harder in the mine.
Thought the film is set in the 19th century, during the struggle by the fireplace at around the 1:20:30 mark, a modern fire extinguisher can be clearly seen attached to the wall.
At around 57:30 when Sir Forbes wakes the Vicar in the cemetery, Vicar says "Huh? What?" and the Vicar's mouth/lips are not moving.
When the coach carrying Sir John Forbes & Sylvia arrive at Dr. Tompson's house, the driver unloading the baggage has dark hair. But when they approach the door, the driver has gray hair and is clearly an older actor.
