A pre-fame David Essex was filmed as a debater at Speaker's Corner who interjects a comment ("I intend to!") when Lord Hampton suggests 'having it off' during the anti-Sex Enjoyment Tax argument. However, his role was cut from the finished film.

Sir Roger is tortured with an Iron Maiden. However, the earliest known Maiden does not appear until 1793, and was probably not a genuine torture implement, but a fictional 'medieval' device designed to shock and fascinate paying visitors to an exhibition.
Opening credits: This film is based on a recently discovered manuscript by one William Cobbler which reveals the fact that Henry VIII did in fact have two more wives. Although it was at first thought that Cromwell originated the story, it is now known to be definitely all Cobbler's........ from beginning to end.
