The 1997 Special Edition's theatrical release was slated for March 7, but was pushed back a week to March 14. Most posters promoting the special edition still have the inaccurate March 7 release date.

Shortly after the scene in which the Death Star shows that it's fully operational and Lando exclaims at this fact, the extra right behind his alien co-pilot is clearly smiling and in fact looks right at the camera while doing so.
To compensate for the longer credits, later versions of the film like the special edition and DVD release extend the piece of musical score that plays over the credits.
