While Luke, Darth and the Emperor are talking on the death star, the depth of field in the stars doesn't match the camera depth. The window in the background of the shots is blurred due to depth but the stars are sharp.
To compensate for the longer credits, later versions of the film like the special edition and DVD release extend the piece of musical score that plays over the credits.
