  • His silly shallow wife (yes, I understand some of what she says), should have been proud of him and shared his vision to save lives, and what he does - many husbands/partners have much less productive lives. Yes, work life/time at home, needs to be balanced - but, silly woman - - it could have been MUCH worse. I realise this film is 30 years old, but some women I know don't know when they are well off. A husband who is well enough to go out to work and earn a decent wage, and do something great, is not granted to all. Good acting from the actor who plays the main doctor and the elderly man who he fights to prove is not senile!
