This sitcom doesn't live in people's memory - I must admit while I'm writing the very first review about a TV-series I'll remember as long as I live (or become senile), as one of the best I've ever seen. Maybe it was too American for Britain, something like Cosby Show, Roseanne or Grace Under Fire; and too British for America (I wonder if they even tried to broadcast it there).
First episodes were amazing, a best junction between American and British humour, each episode a new story, with some marvelous characters like Patsy, Victor and Olive who (God knows why) isn't even listed in IMDb cast at all. She doesn't appear in later episodes; the plot develops in one too long story with less interesting characters (Gary and his wife also don't appear so often), but still with great humour, especially owing to Ralph Nossek playing Victor and his remarks, comments and discussions with his wife Babs (something like Niles and Claire Babcock in Nanny; but might remind on One Foot in a Grave, too). Never going to extremes they made us feel everything happening to them could happen to us, maybe even next day. (No matter how good those comedies are, can you imagine happening in your life something from Alf, Only Fools and Horses, Piglet Files, even Friends or Cosby Show?)
