Not one review, no web pages. Finding out anything about this NBC TV movie was very difficult outside of this page. Jason Bateman plays a street tough who wants to impress the mob yet turns his life around when he finds out that he's a father. Maura Tierney informs came out of the blue that he's the father of her child, and of course, this secretly big-hearted New York Street thug then needs to suddenly change his ways to get away from doing rather shady things for the local mob boss and change his life to become more responsible.

This reminds me of a lot of theatrical film that came out at the time, set in different eras ("Five Corners", "Last Exit to Brooklyn"), and Bateman gives a sweet and sincere performance. But the problem is that it's all contrived with lots of cliched characters, Bateman's gang of friends reminding me of the ensemble from "The Outsiders". Something tells me that the lack of information out there indicates that this was completely overlooked when it first aired. It does have a bit of grit but lacks in guts to be unique and that could explain as to why it has basically been forgotten, if even remembered briefly after it first aired.
  • I want to watch it. I don't care if it's bad. Can someone please give me a way to watch this movie .................................................................................................................................................
