  • A bit ahead of its time with a plea for simplifying life, this telefilm covers what could have been a serious topic with a comedic tone. None of the drama ever gets truly serious; you know everything will end happily. The problem was not that Harper's character was wrong to be a working mother. In fact, at one point, her daughter chastises her for having given up her career--she feels betrayed. But all manage to achieve moral equilibrium by the end of the film. The performances are fine, if never particularly deep; the same can be said for the film itself.
  • This started out confusing, and radidly turned into totally stupid. The premise was interesting, but the script went downhill fast. No one in their right mind would have handled this situation this way. Don't waste your time.
