Travis Kelce Gets “Down with the Sickness” at Super Bowl After-Party, Gets Invited to Disturbed Show
Social media clips of Travis Kelce partying after the Super Bowl in Las Vegas have been rampant, with the champion tight end cutting it up with girlfriend Taylor Swift and his fellow players in the aftermath of the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime victory.
One in particular has been making the rounds in heavy metal circles, as it sees the football star getting down to Disturbed’s anthemic “Down with the Sickness” — and impressing the band’s singer David Draiman in the process.
The clip shows Kelce pumping up the crowd from the DJ booth as he appears to shout “Go baby!” during the “ooo ah ah ah” refrain while the metal banger blasts through the speakers.
Draiman re-shared a couple of the Kelce clips and extended an invite over X/Twitter, first writing, “Hey @tkelce, you’re welcome at one of our shows anytime,” and later remarking, “Well done @tkelce...

Metallica won Best Metal Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 4th) for their song “72 Seasons,” the title track to their 2023 album. The trophy was handed out during the streaming “Premiere Ceremony,” with bassist Robert Trujillo accepting on the band’s behalf.
With boyngeius and Paramore dominating the other rock categories, Metallica were the only heavy act to win a Grammy this year. The legendary metal act beat out Disturbed, Ghost, Slipknot, and Spiritbox for the honor. Overall, Metallica have now won nine Grammy awards, the most by any metal band.
“I just want to say that Lars, James, and Kirk could not be here because they’re with their families, and families are everything to all of us,” began Trujillo during his acceptance speech. “I live in Southern California, so it’s a little easier.”
He added, “We want to thank Greg Fidelman, our incredible producer, and our recording team.

Shock-rock legend Alice Cooper has been added to the roster of playable characters in Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast free-to-play mobile game.
The addition of Cooper comes with the new dungeon event “Road Rats Forever,” inspired by his latest album Road. The event will take players down “a desolate highway” with Cooper and Maiden mascot Eddie (in Phantom Eddie form) as they head to their next show. Along the way, they encounter “a gang who’ve turned a derelict gas station into a chop shop” and are forced to “bash a few heads along the way.”
Players can choose from four difficulties for the event and earn Alice Cooper as a playable character upon completion. Alternatively, the Alice Cooper character can be unlocked for free by logging in on any seven days until December 15th, unlocking Cooper himself on the seventh day.

Just like in George A. Romero's 1978 original, the bulk of Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of "Dawn of the Dead" takes place in a shopping mall. In both films, a group of still-living people take refuge while scads of the undead shamble up against the walls outside. The commentary, of course, is that even after zombification, people still want to worship at consumerism's most powerful megachurch: the modern mall. All their memories and humanity have been erased by zombie-ism, but shopping remains one of their basest instincts. It's hardly a nuanced or complex theme, but it does make both films slightly more interesting.
Snyder's film is more energetic and playful than Romero's, an odd thing to say, given how turgid, humorless, and self-important the bulk of Snyder's films tend to be. One might credit the film's levity to the notoriously jocular screenwriter James Gunn, the director of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies.

Despite an unceremonious split with Slayer toward the end of the band’s career, founding member Dave Lombardo still holds the iconic metal act in high regard. In fact, the legendary drummer insists that Slayer were the best of the “Big Four” thrash bands.
Slayer certainly have some stiff competition when it comes to the rest of the Big Four, namely Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax. But as Lombardo told Metal Hammer in a new interview, he feels Slayer were a cut above the rest.
When asked directly to name the best “Big Four” band, the drummer immediately responded, “Slayer.” And though he followed the answer with a little laugh, he went on to explain, “Who else could I pick?! We were brutal man, we were on top of our game, and if you watch the videos we were on fire. We really showed everyone else how it should be done...

David Draiman’s new puppy Charlotte went missing from the Disturbed frontman’s Florida home a couple days ago, with the singer reaching out to the public for support. Thankfully, the rocker was reunited with the 10-week golden retriever on Monday (October 2nd).
The rock frontman’s Instagram page has been the source for wholesome puppy content ever since he took in the golden retriever just three weeks ago. At that time, he posted the first pics of Charlotte, writing, “Say hello to the newest member of the Draiman family…Charlotte!!”
Over the weekend, he plead for her return, offering a reward for any information leading to her whereabouts. His post read as follows:
“It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to announce that our dear puppy, Charlotte has been missing since the morning before last. We think she was taken by someone/something when she was playing out in the yard.

Disturbed frontman David Draiman sang Israel’s nation anthem “Hatikvah” during the band’s show in Tel Aviv on Wednesday night (June 28th). The rock singer has long been a staunch supporter of the country and has often spoken out against antisemitism.
Draiman, who is Jewish, performed “Hatikvah” toward the end of the set, with the crowd enthusiastically singing along. The vocalist actually trained to be a cantor (a singer at a synagogue) when he was younger, and that experience was evident in his performance. In fact, his grandfather was a cantor in Israel.
It’s not the first time Draiman sang the national anthem in Israel. Back in 2019, he did the same during Disturbed’s first-ever show in the country.
In recent years, Draiman has blasted Roger Waters, calling the Pink Floyd legend “a very sick man” and a “piece of shit” for his cultural boycott of Israel and seemingly antisemitic actions.

Various ticket pre-sales run throughout the week, with a Live Nation pre-sale for select dates launching Wednesday (June 14th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code Disco. General ticket sales begin Friday (June 16th) at 10 a.m. local time, and you can also pick up tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
Jinjer have continued to remain active in a touring capacity after being granted permission to leave the war-torn Ukraine by the nation’s Ministry of Culture roughly a year ago.

This article contains some spoilers for the 1985 movie, Lifeforce
Vampires! They seduce, they enrapture, they hunger for us, and sometimes that’s not 100 percent horrifying, even if it might mean our imminent demise. We humans are a complex sort in that way.
Though vampires are typically depicted as being smart, powerful, sexy, and slick, there are definitely some onscreen bloodsuckers who are just incredibly gross. These are not them.
Santanico Pandemonium – From Dusk Till Dawn
From Dusk Till Dawn has a lot going on. Half crime spree movie and half vampire carnage spectacular, you’re either onboard for the film’s sudden switcheroo or you’re heading for the nearest exit, but one thing that many of us can agree on after making it through the other side is that Salma Hayek can put her damn foot in our mouth if she wants to. Hayek only has a small role...

Disturbed vocalist David Draiman is feeling thankful. In a new social media post, he expressed gratitude for the “outpouring of support” he has received after courageously revealing at a concert in Milwaukee that he recently almost lost his own life to mental health struggles.
As previously reported, while speaking about the song “A Reason to Fight,” the singer told the crowd, “I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of losing everybody I love to depression and addiction. Every single band member on this stage has dealt with those feelings, with those demons. And I miss the friends that we’ve lost. I miss Chester [Bennington], I miss Scott [Weiland], I miss Chris [Cornell].”
He added, “And if I can be completely honest with you, a couple months ago, I almost joined them. Addiction and depression can happen to anyone ladies and gentlemen.”

Two of metal’s most iconic mascots — Iron Maiden’s Eddie and Anthrax’s ornery flatbill-cap-wearing Not-Man — are joining forces for the Among the Living in-game event in Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast mobile game.
For this latest dungeon event, the plot of Anthrax’s recent Among the Living graphic novel serves as the premise, as players venture through the wreckage of a recently destroyed New York City. Not-Man is out for revenge, and he’s got Eddie in tow.
“We couldn’t be happier to be featured in this game,” commented Anthrax, who join an esteemed group of major bands that have appeared in Lotb.
The band continued: “When the idea came up, we were completely taken aback by it, like, ‘Are you serious?’ You have Eddie, one of the greatest mascots of all-time, and the Not-Man. When you see the Non-Man’s face, you identify it with Anthrax.

How can we be better for our children? Can anyone ever truly change? Those are the questions at the core of God of War Ragnarök, the ninth(!!!) installment of the now iconic PlayStation series.
By the events of 2018’s soft reboot God of War, Kratos, the titular god, has spent a lifetime acting out violent delights in service of his own grief for being a bad father (Bad like, “accidentally killing his own wife and daughter” bad). It’s been years since he chose to leave behind his blood soaked...

This Army of the Dead article contains spoilers.
The premise of Army of the Dead was originally intended for a Dawn of the Dead sequel. No, really. Director Zack Snyder is not shy about this point, mentioning to the press, including us, that he’s virtually had this concept in the back of his mind since time immemorial.
“Just exploring Dawn, in doing that movie and taking it apart [was exciting],” Snyder recently told Den of Geek. And while the idea of doing a direct sequel to his 2004 remake of the George A. Romero classic fizzled in the years after Snyder’s debut picture, the premise of a heist movie where the heroes have to break into an abandoned Las Vegas hotel to steal the proverbial jackpot has been a Snyder pitch “for forever.”
Now that Army of the Dead is finally here, thanks to Snyder partnering with Netflix, it is very much its own movie.
