Break out the mud (but get rid of the shoulder pads): The CW is prepping a new, modern remake of the classic primetime soap “Dynasty.”
Among the changes: In this version, Krystle (originally played by Linda Evans) is now Cristal, a Latina woman marrying into the Carrington clan.
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are developing the new show, along with Sallie Patrick (“Revenge”). The husband-wife duo who originally created “Dynasty,” Esther Shapiro and Richard Shapiro, are also attached as executive producers.
The “modernized reboot” will still feature the gist of the 1980s original. Here’s the logline: “[Dynasty] follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children. The series will be told primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds: Fallon Carrington — daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington — and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal — a Hispanic woman...

Chris Pratt, Andy on the brilliant NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation, has landed the role of Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Quill was born of a human mother and alien father, and is a master strategist and combat expert who wears an ability-enhancing suit and pilots a psychically-linked ship. While many actors were rumored for the role, in the end, it appears, it went to an actor that appeared on no one’s list. Pratt has comedic talents, which shine on Parks&Rec, but he can be dramatic as well, with his appearances in the Oscar nominated films Zero Dark Thirty and Moneyball prove. However, the casting of Pratt –on the heels of rumors that Marvel was looking to comedic actors as Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler- does seem to indicate that director James Gunn plans on adding more humor to the film.

Robin Sachs, a British actor best known for playing the slippery, mercenary mage Ethan Rayne on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has died, according to the BBC. Sachs’ death is described as “sudden and unexpected” on his official website, though no cause is given. He was 61. Though two of his earliest roles were in the miniseries Brideshead Revisited and Dynasty: The Reunion (where he replaced Gordon Thomson as Adam Carrington), Sachs was far more suited to science-fiction and horror stories than lavish costume dramas, beginning with his screen debut in the Hammer-produced Vampire Circus. Over the years he had numerous ...

Lets face it, as television viewers we grow attached to the gay characters that resonate with us on the small screen, and with the actors that bring life to these roles. We also find ourselves growing fond of out-and-proud actors that have opted to play it straight thats why its called acting, people and vice versa.
So when their shows are cancelled or taken off the air before they wear out their welcome (whatever, I still miss Sex and the City on Sunday nights, ok?), it can be a little bit difficult to see them slide into other TV roles easier than Lindsay Lohan checking into another rehab (Im rootin for you, girl).
Alas, sometimes that isnt always the case, which might have you asking yourself, Where are they now? In some cases for these actors, it could be taken as a query of, Where did they disappear to?
But for curiosity's (and manner's) sake,...

Back in 1989, Dynasty was cancelled after nine seasons on ABC. The ratings started tumbling in season six and the show was not cheap to produce (though efforts were made to cut costs towards the end).
Unfortunately for the fans, Dynasty ended with a number of cliffhangers. Fallon (Emma Samms) and little Krystina (Jessica Player) were tapped in a cavern with a sociopathic killer. Dex (Michael Nader) and Alexis (Joan Collins) were accidentally pushed off a balcony by her son, Adam (Gordon Thomson). And Blake (John Forsythe) was left bleeding on his mansion's staircase after being shot by a crooked cop.
In October 1991, ABC reunited some of the actors for a two-night mini-series, Dynasty: The Reunion. Some of the characters returned while others were strangely missing. The story picked up a few years after the end of the series and casually addressed some...
